Spectators: 8487 (Terracing: 6368, Seating: 1950, VIP seats: 169) Chesney Wheeler started the match with the kick off in front of an excited audience. 2 minutes into the match, Viktoria Plzen's goal looked a bit too open when Camron Rhodes came free, but Mario Verschüren reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Mario Verschüren made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Will Patton in the 4th minute of play. Mario Verschüren came out of the goal in the 8th minute to try and stop a shot by Leicester Lions's Will Patton. But to his dismay, Will Patton quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 0-1. The supporters of Viktoria Plzen booed when Leicester Lions was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 13 match minutes in a wonderful position. Sebastien Clifford didn't get a good kick on the ball. In the 17th minute, Joey Folwill hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. In the 20th minute, Stu Hislop made a precise shot to the right of Mario Verschüren. Viktoria Plzen's defense was at fault, and the scoreboard reflected the new score, 0-2. In the 26th minute, one of Viktoria Plzen:s players had the ball in front of the goal but got pushed and fell. The referee felt it was an obvious case and blew a penalty for Viktoria Plzen. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Camron Rhodes in the 28th minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Mario Verschüren prevented the ball from getting in the gole. Mario Verschüren made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Şükür Hagi in the 29th minute of play. The supporters of Leicester Lions booed when Viktoria Plzen was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 30 match minutes in a wonderful position. Shaun Osgood didn't get a good kick on the ball. Mario Verschüren showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Camron Rhodes in the 30th minute of the match. 34 minutes into the match, Şükür Hagi notched a goal, 0-3, to the right of Viktoria Plzen's Mario Verschüren. Mario Verschüren was clearly disgusted with the effort of the defense and let the defenders know about it. In the 38th minute Şükür Hagi shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Mario Verschüren saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. In the 39thth minute of the game Will Patton who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but Viktoria Plzen's Mario Verschüren was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. After 44 played minutes, Leicester Lions's Will Lemerond shot from a long distance, and at first it looked like the ball was going into the goal, but the goalkeeper Mario Verschüren came through and got his fingers on the ball before it flew over the goal line. He then quickly gripped the ball tighter before the forwards in Leicester Lions reached it. Luck had favoured the away team in the first, and they walked off with a 0-4 lead.

When the second half was about to start, both teams quickly lined up and Şükür Hagi made a kick off. In the 51st minute, Marcus Beard hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. After 52 minutes, Şükür Hagi made it 0-5 with a short kick to the right side. Viktoria Plzen's Mario Verschüren tried to save the shot but he was too slow in reacting to the shot. After some careless play in the Viktoria Plzen defense, Şükür Hagi kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Mario Verschüren. The Viktoria Plzen fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Mario Verschüren should have stopped the shot. Mario Verschüren showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Camron Rhodes, who was totally free with the ball in the 62nd minute. With a little luck, Viktoria Plzen's Mario Verschüren got control of the ball when Will Patton tried to sneak it across the goal line. In the 66th minute of the match, Şükür Hagi got a very nice opportunity to score, but Mario Verschüren was well-placed and pushed the ball away from the goal at the left post. When Leicester Lions's Camron Rhodes in the 71st minute got a chance for a shot 71st didn't hesitate and placed the ball to the right of the goalie. A beautiful save bye Viktoria Plzen's goalie prevented a goal. Leicester Lions's Patryk Plučinský was substituted for Alexander Cheetham. Leicester Lions's Stu Hislop got a good chance for a goal in the 76th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. Mario Verschüren showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Camron Rhodes, who was totally free with the ball in the 83rd minute. Camron Rhodes fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 90th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Mario Verschüren having to interfere. Leicester Lions made a substitution. Alexander-James Ford replaced Michal Budzyn. Şükür Hagi could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 93rd minute of the match, but Mario Verschüren made a huge save. When the final whistle sounded Leicester Lions left the ground with the victory after a much better performance than Viktoria Plzen.
