The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by John Clegg during the 7th minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. After a rather tough play, Real Ale Madrid's John Clegg got a free kick in the 9th minute. An unexpectedly hard shot by Hayden Billington in the 20th minute of play forced Bearsville United's goalkeeper Caleb Waterhouse to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. When Eddy Legzdins fell near the penalty area in the 23rd minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored Real Ale Madrid's protests and gave Eddy Legzdins a yellow card for diving instead. A collision led to Real Ale Madrid getting a freekick after 23 minutes play. Eddy Legzdins hit a great ball. After a rather tough play, Real Ale Madrid's Sean Lockwood got a free kick in the 30th minute. If Robbie Fielden had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 30th minute. The ball went over the crossbar instead. The audience thought a goal was coming when Robbie Fielden got free with Danny Gibbs in the 33rd minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. A collision led to Real Ale Madrid getting a freekick after 36 minutes play. Silvester Eastham hit a great ball. Gez Harding kicked well hit freekick during the 41st minute of the match. The throw-in from Dean Flynn in the 45th minute of the game was unfortunally taken care of by Real Ale Madrid's Gez Harding. After fighting hard for a draw in the first half, the players were able to take a much needed rest.

Both teams looked relatively alert before the second half when the referee blew his whistle to tell Hayden Billington to make the kick off. 54 minutes into the game, Peter Fry was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. Real Ale Madrid's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave Bearsville United the free kick. After a rather tough play, Real Ale Madrid's Peter Fry got a free kick in the 55th minute. Gus Mulford struck a weak shot in the 58th minute. Danny Gibbs didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Bearsville United. Robbie Fielden scored 1-0 in the 63rd match minute with a shot that went into the goal to the right of Danny Gibbs, who was just a little too slow in reacting to the shot. Danny Gibbs made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Gus Mulford in the 66th minute of play. A collision led to Bearsville United getting a freekick after 68 minutes play. Gus Mulford hit a great ball. In the 70th minute 张兴崇 shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Danny Gibbs saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. The corner ended in Robbie Fielden almost managing to get the ball behind the net, but Real Ale Madrid's Danny Gibbs did a great save. Bearsville United were awarded a corner in the 72th minute after Real Ale Madrid's defender lost control of the ball, allowing it to roll out over the line. Robbie Fielden took the corner. Danny Gibbs showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Tim Armitstead, who was totally free with the ball in the 74th minute. Real Ale Madrid were furious when John Clegg was red carded, 79 minutes into the game, but the referee dismissed their protests. Robbie Fielden didn't quite understand what happened when in the 95 minute of the game managed to get a great opportunity for a goal and then missed the goal by a feet. There was no doubt that Bearsville United were the better team. Bearsville United's players enjoyed the ovations of the crowd after the victory.
