In the 3rd minute, Malcolm Blueman hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Stu Leadbeater recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 4th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. An unexpectedly hard shot by Nicholas Sparks in the 6th minute of play forced Liverpool1978's goalkeeper Albert Ford to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Garry Cheesman hit a great freekick 8 minutes into the match. In the 11th match minute, Liverpool1978 was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Rob Norman to maneuver through the defense. Albert Ford showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Nicholas Sparks, who was totally free with the ball in the 12th minute. After 15 minutes of play, Fc Earls's Rob Hurren made it 1-0 when he simply outclassed the defender marking him and hit a curling shot into the right side of the net. Albert Ford was left in no man's land by his defense there! 19 minutes into the match, Rob Hurren notched a goal, 2-0, to the right of Liverpool1978's Albert Ford. Albert Ford was clearly disgusted with the effort of the defense and let the defenders know about it. Liverpool1978's Albert Ford proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 24th minute of the match, managed to save Liverpool1978 from getting a goal against them. 26 minutes into the match, Rob Hurren dribbled the ball past the defender and swiftly kicked the ball to the left of Albert Ford, 3-0. Malcolm Blueman charged in rather forcefully in the 30th minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Malcolm Blueman the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. After 30 played minutes Liverpool1978 got a freekick which was hit by Malcolm Blueman. Camron Hamilton could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 31st minute of the match, but Albert Ford made a huge save. Albert Ford made a fantastic save in the 33rd minute, when Rob Hurren sent off a good shot on target. After a rather tough play, Liverpool1978's Rob Norman got a free kick in the 34th minute. If Garry Cheesman had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 36th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Garry Cheesman took the ball and in the 40 minute, shot a rapid shot to the right of a surprised Lance Holdroyd. Lance Holdroyd dived to the right, and did manage to get a hand on the shot, but it still went into the right corner making it 3-1. Liverpool1978's Albert Ford proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 44th minute of the match, managed to save Liverpool1978 from getting a goal against them.

When the second half was about to start, both teams quickly lined up and Garry Cheesman made a kick off. Rob Hurren fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 50th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Albert Ford having to interfere. In the 55th minute Gwyn Gold shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Albert Ford saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. The audience thought a goal was coming when Garry Cheesman got free with Lance Holdroyd in the 59th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. In the 63rd minute, Liverpool1978's Rufus Hibbert ran free of his marker and smoothly shot the ball into the goal behind Lance Holdroyd. Lance Holdroyd yelled at his defense, as they had left him out to dry. 3-2. 68 minutes into the game, Garry Cheesman cracked a shot to the right of the goalkeeper, 3-3. Lance Holdroyd was not in position, and could only watch the ball fly in. Garry Cheesman received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 71st minute. Lance Holdroyd tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. In the 72nd match minute, Fc Earls was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Simon Bow to maneuver through the defense. Albert Ford showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Gwyn Gold, who was totally free with the ball in the 75th minute. A collision led to Liverpool1978 getting a freekick after 83 minutes play. Ozzy Coogan hit a great ball. Gwyn Gold kicked well hit freekick during the 86th minute of the match. Lance Holdroyd showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Garry Cheesman in the 87th minute of the match. An unexpectedly hard shot by Rob Hurren in the 90th minute of play forced Liverpool1978's goalkeeper Albert Ford to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. In the 94th minute, Gwyn Gold left the goalkeeper for dead before tapping the ball into the right side of the net. The Fc Earls fans were clearly happy with the effort and the scoreboard reflected the new score: 6-3. There was no doubt that Fc Earls were the better team. Fc Earls's players enjoyed the ovations of the crowd after the victory.
