The supporters of Kentucky Fried Wings booed when Fc Earls was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 12 match minutes in a wonderful position. Simon Bow didn't get a good kick on the ball. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Son van Basten in the 14th minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Lance Holdroyd prevented the ball from getting in the gole. If Son van Basten had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 16th minute. The ball went over the crossbar instead. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Son van Basten in the 16th managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Lance Holdroyd saved Fc Earls from getting behind. In the 19th minute, Rufus Horsey hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. In the 20th match minute, Fc Earls was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Rufus Horsey to maneuver through the defense. Son van Basten might have been able to make a better finish in the 22nd minute when he tried to place a hard shot over Lance Holdroyd. Instead the ball went over the crossbar and out. Son van Basten ran back to his position shaking his head. With a little luck, Kentucky Fried Wings's Tomislav Strahija got control of the ball when Rob Hurren tried to sneak it across the goal line. If Son van Basten had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 26th minute. The ball went over the crossbar instead. Fc Earls's Lance Holdroyd played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Son van Basten in the 28th minute of play. The wind increased when Rob Hurren made the kick off in the second half. In the 68th minute, Matt Trueman reached a very good position and smashed the ball with a huge effort into the net, just to the left of Lance Holdroyd. The goal made the score 0-5. Matt Trueman received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 85th minute. Lance Holdroyd tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. In the 86th minute, Kentucky Fried Wings's Eric Statham dribbled the ball into the box and hit a shot with the outside of his foot, sending the keeper the wrong way. 0-6. The Fc Earls fans had already started to leave before the final whistle blew. Kentucky Fried Wings were clearly better and deserved to take the win.
