A collision led to Kentucky Fried Wings getting a freekick after 11 minutes play. Grant Tindale hit a great ball. Son van Basten blasted a shot towards the goal in the 14th minute, but the shot hit the top of the crossbar and went out without Tobias Kopp having to make a save. 14 minutes into the match, Arsenal FC's goal looked a bit too open when Son van Basten came free, but Tobias Kopp reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Son van Basten might have been able to make a better finish in the 21st minute when he tried to place a hard shot over Tobias Kopp. Instead the ball went over the crossbar and out. Son van Basten ran back to his position shaking his head. Arsenal FC's Tobias Kopp played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Son van Basten in the 21st minute of play. Son van Basten might have been able to make a better finish in the 22nd minute when he tried to place a hard shot over Tobias Kopp. Instead the ball went over the crossbar and out. Son van Basten ran back to his position shaking his head. Hugh Branston kicked well hit freekick during the 24th minute of the match. Kentucky Fried Wings's Tomislav Strahija proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 25th minute of the match, managed to save Kentucky Fried Wings from getting a goal against them. Arsenal FC's attacker deliberately struck the ball against an opponent to win a corner for his team. The corner was taken by Nial Kirk in the 26th minute. In the 28th minute Son van Basten shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Tobias Kopp saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. After 31 played minutes Kentucky Fried Wings got a freekick which was hit by Denzil Welsh. Son van Basten made a great header on Kentucky Fried Wings's corner, it was just that Arsenal FC's Tobias Kopp managed to reach the ball for a save. The audience was convinced that Son van Basten's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Tobias Kopp was relentless in the 36th minute of the game. In the 37th minute the ball was on its way in behind Arsenal FC's goalkeeper Tobias Kopp, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. The players of the home team were most fresh-looking when they entered the field to play the second half. Nial Kirk was the one to do the kick off. When Grant Tindale came up free with the goalie in the 52nd minute, the Kentucky Fried Wings fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Grant Tindale couldn't finish the play. Son van Basten struck a weak shot in the 58th minute. Tobias Kopp didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Kentucky Fried Wings. In the 61st match minute, Kentucky Fried Wings was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Hugh Branston to maneuver through the defense. Eric Statham recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 63rd minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. Camron Ackland scored 1-0 in the 64th match minute with a shot that went into the goal to the right of Tomislav Strahija, who was just a little too slow in reacting to the shot. Kentucky Fried Wings's Son van Basten got a good chance for a goal in the 68th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. In the 70th match minute, Arsenal FC was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Jacek Kielb to maneuver through the defense. With a little luck, Arsenal FC's Tobias Kopp got control of the ball when John Stone tried to sneak it across the goal line. In the 75th minute, John Stone got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. In the 77th minute, John Stone ran past the defenders and hit a shot which went straight ahead into goal. Tobias Kopp was frozen by the shot and now it was 1-1. The throw-in from Vernon Shakespeare in the 81st minute of the game was unfortunally taken care of by Kentucky Fried Wings's Noé Reynero. When John Stone came up free with the goalie in the 84th minute, the Kentucky Fried Wings fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that John Stone couldn't finish the play. If John Stone had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 89th minute. The ball went over the crossbar instead.
