In the 19th minute of the match, Apolo Quirze got a very nice opportunity to score, but Lennie Rusby was well-placed and pushed the ball away from the goal at the left post. The supporters of Heavenly Hooters booed when Luton Town was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 67 match minutes in a wonderful position. Toader Encuțoiu didn't get a good kick on the ball. In the 89th minute, Brandon Wright hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Todd Connery in the 93rd managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Semih Eğriöz saved Luton Town from getting behind. The crowd rose to their feet and cheered when the referee blew the final whistle. Luton Town had won after a very even match.
