An unexpectedly hard shot by Matty Gold in the 19th minute of play forced Luton Town's goalkeeper Semih Eğriöz to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. After some careless play in the Luton Town defense, Matty Gold kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Semih Eğriöz. The Luton Town fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Semih Eğriöz should have stopped the shot. Bartosz Dudek hit a great freekick 64 minutes into the match. A hard shot by Dennis Whittington from long distance, 66 minutes into the match, got Patrick Colbert's attention. The Luton Town players were relieved to hear the final whistle blow to end the match. The away crowd was happy to see their team win after a very tight game.
