Spectators: 9165 (Terracing: 6900, Seating: 2115, VIP seats: 150) Dark clouds were building up when the players entered the field. None of the them looked very eager to play. Marcelino Playo started the match with the kick off. The supporters of Ampthill FC booed when Buckingham AFC was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 3 match minutes in a wonderful position. Christian Felice didn't get a good kick on the ball. Hu Fan Yi made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Thor Eriksson in the 4th minute of play. A collision led to Buckingham AFC getting a freekick after 5 minutes play. Christian Felice hit a great ball. After 6 played minutes, Ampthill FC's Thor Eriksson shot from a long distance, and at first it looked like the ball was going into the goal, but the goalkeeper Hu Fan Yi came through and got his fingers on the ball before it flew over the goal line. He then quickly gripped the ball tighter before the forwards in Ampthill FC reached it. The audience thought a goal was coming when Gheorghe Blajin got free with Argyris Loukoumakis in the 8th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. Hu Fan Yi took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Marcelino Playo, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. In the 10th minute Marcelino Playo shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Hu Fan Yi saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Hu Fan Yi showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Sebastian Speed in the 14th minute of the match. Argyris Loukoumakis didn't have a chance when a screaming shot from Jardel Gol went, in the 17th minute, to the upper right corner, 1-0 was the resulting score. After 22 played minutes Buckingham AFC got a freekick which was hit by Marcial Abreu. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Marcelino Playo in the 24th minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Hu Fan Yi prevented the ball from getting in the gole. When Owen Martin fell near the penalty area in the 24th minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored Buckingham AFC's protests and gave Owen Martin a yellow card for diving instead. Owen Martin kicked well hit freekick during the 24th minute of the match. Argyris Loukoumakis showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Owen Martin, who was totally free with the ball in the 30th minute. In the 36th minute, Marcial Abreu hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Buckingham AFC's Hu Fan Yi played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Sebastian Speed in the 36th minute of play. After 39 played minutes, Ampthill FC's Thor Eriksson shot from a long distance, and at first it looked like the ball was going into the goal, but the goalkeeper Hu Fan Yi came through and got his fingers on the ball before it flew over the goal line. After a defensive mix-up in Buckingham AFC's zone, Cao Chuan Zheng stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Hu Fan Yi came out of the goal and Cao Chuan Zheng tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. After 45 played minutes Buckingham AFC got a freekick which was hit by Christian Felice. Sebastian Speed struck a weak shot in the 46th minute. Hu Fan Yi didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Ampthill FC.

The players of the home team were most fresh-looking when they entered the field to play the second half. Jardel Gol was the one to do the kick off. An unexpectedly hard shot by Jardel Gol in the 52nd minute of play forced Ampthill FC's goalkeeper Argyris Loukoumakis to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. In the 60th minute, Marcelino Playo reached a very good position and smashed the ball with a huge effort into the net, just to the left of Hu Fan Yi. The goal made the score 1-1. Marcelino Playo could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 63rd minute of the match, but Hu Fan Yi made a huge save. 68 minutes into the match, Ampthill FC's goal looked a bit too open when Owen Martin came free, but Argyris Loukoumakis reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. After a rather tough play, Buckingham AFC's Jardel Gol got a free kick in the 72nd minute. Jardel Gol hit a great freekick 73 minutes into the match. The audience thought a goal was coming when Marcelino Playo got free with Hu Fan Yi in the 76th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. After a rather tough play, Buckingham AFC's Harvey Elliot got a free kick in the 82nd minute. Marcial Abreu's late challenge caught a Ampthill FC's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Marcial Abreu helped the player get up and apologised. After 85 played minutes Buckingham AFC got a freekick which was hit by Marcial Abreu. In the 89th minute the ball was on its way in behind Buckingham AFC's goalkeeper Hu Fan Yi, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. Jeers came from both ends of the stadium when the final whistle went. Neither team had looked impressive and the draw seeemd a fair result.
