After a rather tough play, Plaistow United's Oliver Parkinson got a free kick in the 4th minute. Lam Baril could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 6th minute of the match, but Ian Sissons made a huge save. 7 minutes had been played when some careless play by Plaistow United's defense caused the ball to cross the line for a corner. Fred Tutorskiy was slow to take the kick. During this time FC LIVERPOOL's players had a chance to rest. Shane Corrigan struck a weak shot in the 9th minute. Ian Sissons didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for FC LIVERPOOL. Ian Watson hit a great freekick 12 minutes into the match. Olaf Majkowski received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 16th minute. Ian Sissons tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. In the 18th minute, Alf Key left the goalkeeper for dead before tapping the ball into the right side of the net. The Plaistow United fans were clearly happy with the effort and the scoreboard reflected the new score: 0-1. Gerald Buffon made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Ian Watson in the 20th minute of play. After 22 minutes of play, Plaistow United's Ian Watson made it 0-2 when he simply outclassed the defender marking him and hit a curling shot into the right side of the net. Gerald Buffon was left in no man's land by his defense there! In the 25th minute, Lam Baril hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. FC LIVERPOOL's Gerald Buffon played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Alf Key in the 28th minute of play. Alf Key took the ball and in the 28 minute, shot a rapid shot to the right of a surprised Gerald Buffon. Gerald Buffon dived to the right, and did manage to get a hand on the shot, but it still went into the right corner making it 0-3. Gerald Buffon showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Ian Watson in the 35th minute of the match. After some fancy dribbling in the 42nd minute, Toni Adams managed to get in a good position for a shot. FC LIVERPOOL's supporters rose to their feet, but Toni Adams was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Ian Sissons breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. The FC LIVERPOOL players were disheartened as they walked off the pitch after the first half. Plaistow United were winning 0-3.

The hometeam waved at the audience when it was time for Ian Watson to strike the kick off in the second half. A collision led to Plaistow United getting a freekick after 51 minutes play. Francis Dudgeon hit a great ball. An unexpectedly hard shot by Lam Baril in the 53rd minute of play forced Plaistow United's goalkeeper Ian Sissons to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. If Olaf Majkowski had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 57th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Ian Sissons showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Eskil Stenkvist, who was totally free with the ball in the 59th minute. Ian Sissons made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Eskil Stenkvist in the 64th minute of play. Ian Watson kicked well hit freekick during the 65th minute of the match. FC LIVERPOOL's Bogdan Stolniciu was substituted for Toni Adams. FC LIVERPOOL made a substitution. Dane Wishart replaced Olaf Majkowski. Plaistow United's Ian Sissons played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Eskil Stenkvist in the 68th minute of play. After having played for 76 minutes, Lam Baril managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. FC LIVERPOOL's supporters crossed their fingers, but Lam Baril was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. Plaistow United made a substitution. Brendon Saville replaced Ian Watson. In the 94th minute Bogdan Stolniciu shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Ian Sissons saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. The Plaistow United players were relieved to hear the final whistle blow to end the match. The away crowd was happy to see their team win after a very tight game.
