The tension between the Yate and the Romford United players grew even worse after the yellow card. After 5 played minutes Yate got a freekick which was hit by Imad Hemdani. Sami Medjoudj hit a great freekick 7 minutes into the match. After having played for 14 minutes, Tami Benkirat managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Yate's supporters crossed their fingers, but Tami Benkirat was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Ghiles El Annabi during the 15th minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. The supporters of Romford United booed when Yate was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 15 match minutes in a wonderful position. Ghiles El Annabi didn't get a good kick on the ball. Romford United's Abdul Hadjadj proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 19th minute of the match, managed to save Romford United from getting a goal against them. Tami Benkirat was really disappointed when he shot the ball just outside the right post instead of scoring a goal in the 20th minute. Yate's manager could be seen on the sidelines shaking his head and muttering to himself as his team had just wasted another chance. Tami Benkirat struck a weak shot in the 22nd minute. Abdul Hadjadj didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Yate. Faouzi Zaaboub's late challenge caught a Yate's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Faouzi Zaaboub helped the player get up and apologised. Faouzi Zaaboub hit a great freekick 29 minutes into the match. Fadel Chaouchi didn't have a chance when a screaming shot from Afalawas El Amri went, in the 36th minute, to the upper right corner, 0-1 was the resulting score. Ghani Zouba fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 46th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Abdul Hadjadj having to interfere. After the first half Romford United were leading 0-1. They had played with great self confidence throughout the first half and fully deserved their lead.

Both teams looked relatively alert before the second half when the referee blew his whistle to tell Tami Benkirat to make the kick off. After some fancy dribbling in the 54th minute, Afalawas El Amri managed to get in a good position for a shot. Romford United's supporters rose to their feet, but Afalawas El Amri was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Fadel Chaouchi breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. The supporters of Romford United booed when Yate was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 56 match minutes in a wonderful position. Imad Hemdani didn't get a good kick on the ball. The long shot by Merouane Kader in the 57th minute really tested Fadel Chaouchi's skills. The ball was on its way into the goal to the left of him when he managed to stretch himself and save the shot and avoid a goal. After a defensive mix-up in Romford United's zone, Ghani Zouba stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Abdul Hadjadj came out of the goal and Ghani Zouba tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. Abdul Hadjadj showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Tami Benkirat, who was totally free with the ball in the 68th minute. In the 70th minute, Menad Laura Douibi hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. In the 71st minute, Merouane Kader sent off a long shot on goal, but the shot was nowhere near the goal and Yate's Fadel Chaouchi didn't even have to move. An unexpectedly hard shot by Tami Benkirat in the 79th minute of play forced Romford United's goalkeeper Abdul Hadjadj to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. After having played for 83 minutes, Afalawas El Amri managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Romford United's supporters crossed their fingers, but Afalawas El Amri was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. In the 91st minute, Ghani Zouba got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. Romford United's Abdul Hadjadj played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Imad Hemdani in the 93rd minute of play. After 96 minutes of play, Yate's Tami Benkirat made it 1-1 when he simply outclassed the defender marking him and hit a curling shot into the right side of the net. Abdul Hadjadj was left in no man's land by his defense there!
