To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. When Bachir Zarabi came up free with the goalie in the 28th minute, the New Brighton fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Bachir Zarabi couldn't finish the play. Raouf Benyagoub could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 31st minute of the match, but Fayssal Fetani made a huge save. A collision led to Studley getting a freekick after 36 minutes play. Amdegh Mezali hit a great ball. Studley's Fayssal Fetani proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 37th minute of the match, managed to save Studley from getting a goal against them. Bachir Zarabi recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 38th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. New Brighton's Chams Hanoune played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Tayeb Boulebda in the 43rd minute of play. Raouf Benyagoub sent away a hard shot on goal in the 48th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Disappointed in the 0-1 score, the home team went to the dressing room to adjust tactics for the second half.

Mahmoud Toumi received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 79th minute. Chams Hanoune tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Ismael Kerfali kicked well hit freekick during the 83rd minute of the match. Through an outstanding action, after 84 minutes, Chams Hanoune successfully got his hands on the ball before it slid into the goal at the right post. In the 88th minute, Bachir Zarabi got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. After a rather tough play, Studley's Amdegh Mezali got a free kick in the 89th minute. 93 minutes into the game, Bachir Zarabi cracked a shot to the right of the goalkeeper, 3-1. Fayssal Fetani was not in position, and could only watch the ball fly in. Mekki Chadli's late challenge caught a Studley's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Mekki Chadli helped the player get up and apologised. In the 98th minute Mahmoud Toumi shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Chams Hanoune saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line.
