After some fancy dribbling in the 3rd minute, Abdelnasser Khodri managed to get in a good position for a shot. Barnsley's supporters rose to their feet, but Abdelnasser Khodri was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Fayssal Zitouni breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. In the 5th minute, Islem Banouas hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Assim Kafi might have been able to make a better finish in the 7th minute when he tried to place a hard shot over Cheikh El Amri. Instead the ball went over the crossbar and out. Assim Kafi ran back to his position shaking his head. Fayssal Zitouni showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Abdelhakim Mami, who was totally free with the ball in the 12th minute. After a rather tough play, Dunmow FC's Abdessalem Sami got a free kick in the 16th minute. In the 22nd minute, Stéphane Mesbah made a precise shot to the right of Cheikh El Amri. Barnsley's defense was at fault, and the scoreboard reflected the new score, 0-1. 25 minutes into the match, Dunmow FC's goal looked a bit too open when Abdelhakim Mami came free, but Fayssal Zitouni reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. 30 minutes into the match, Assim Kafi notched a goal, 0-2, to the right of Barnsley's Cheikh El Amri. Cheikh El Amri was clearly disgusted with the effort of the defense and let the defenders know about it. In the 56th minute, Dunmow FC's Stéphane Mesbah ran free of his marker and smoothly shot the ball into the goal behind Cheikh El Amri. Cheikh El Amri yelled at his defense, as they had left him out to dry. 0-3. Assim Kafi struck a weak shot in the 61st minute. Cheikh El Amri didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Dunmow FC. In the 64th minute, Abdelnasser Khodri hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. 71 minutes into the match, Dunmow FC's goal looked a bit too open when Abdelhakim Mami came free, but Fayssal Zitouni reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Abdessalem Sami kicked well hit freekick during the 73rd minute of the match. Barnsley's Abdelhakim Mami got a good chance for a goal in the 75th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. In the 79th minute Abdelhakim Mami shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Fayssal Zitouni saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Lout Mazouna kicked well hit freekick during the 81st minute of the match. An unexpectedly hard shot by Stéphane Mesbah in the 82nd minute of play forced Barnsley's goalkeeper Cheikh El Amri to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. 85 minutes into the match, Abdelhakim Mami had an open shot that he just couldn't miss and scored to the right of Fayssal Zitouni. Dunmow FC's manager could be seen yelling to the referee that Abdelhakim Mami was offside, but the referee ignored the protest. 1-3. If Smail Megharia had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 95th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. The referee blew the final whistle, and the away crowd roared, having watched Dunmow FC eke out a victory against a very well matched opponent.
