Khelifa Massi showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Ismaïl Khorci in the 7th minute of the match. In the 12thth minute of the game Abdeldjalil Rezzoug who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but Waterloo and South Bank United's Khelifa Massi was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. In the 15th minute, Yacine Guellil hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. The supporters of Waterloo and South Bank United booed when Selsdon was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 16 match minutes in a wonderful position. Bouzid Menad didn't get a good kick on the ball. Bellemou Boukensa blasted a shot towards the goal in the 18th minute, but the shot hit the top of the crossbar and went out without Bahnini Lourdjane having to make a save. Laïd Ammour fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 18th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Bahnini Lourdjane having to interfere. In the 21st minute, Waterloo and South Bank United's Abdul Djebar ran free of his marker and smoothly shot the ball into the goal behind Bahnini Lourdjane. Bahnini Lourdjane yelled at his defense, as they had left him out to dry. 1-0. If Bellemou Boukensa had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 26th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. 32 minutes into the match, Selsdon's goalkeeper Bahnini Lourdjane had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Bellemou Boukensa. Laïd Ammour sent away a hard shot on goal in the 36th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Khelifa Massi made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Abdeldjalil Rezzoug in the 43rd minute of play. When the referee blew for the end of the half the home team players were clearly happier, as they went in to the break leading 1-0.

When the second half was about to start, both teams quickly lined up and Laïd Ammour made a kick off. Laïd Ammour sent away a hard shot on goal in the 54th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Ismaïl Khorci might have been able to make a better finish in the 58th minute when he tried to place a hard shot over Khelifa Massi. Instead the ball went over the crossbar and out. Ismaïl Khorci ran back to his position shaking his head. Khelifa Massi showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Ismaïl Khorci, who was totally free with the ball in the 69th minute. A collision led to Waterloo and South Bank United getting a freekick after 69 minutes play. Yacine Guellil hit a great ball. Waterloo and South Bank United's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave Selsdon the free kick. After 91 played minutes Waterloo and South Bank United got a freekick which was hit by Bellemou Boukensa. Selsdon's Hafid Sahnouni shoveled away a really nice long shot in the 92nd minute of play. The shot was stopped by Khelifa Massi but with some difficulty. Bahnini Lourdjane stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Laïd Ammour's shot from short distance in the 93rd minute. Bahnini Lourdjane took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Bellemou Boukensa, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. The crowd rose to their feet and cheered when the referee blew the final whistle. Waterloo and South Bank United had won after a very even match.
