The referee blew the whistle for a penalty in the 5th minute of the game. One of Burscough:s players had nearly got his shirt torn off by an opponent while getting free in front of Wellington:s goal. Adel Belkacem received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 11th minute. Cheb Rahmani tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Mohand Aflelou's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Labib Zaghbib read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 16th minute of play. Wellington's Cheb Rahmani played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Abdeldjalil Moll in the 22nd minute of play. Mohand Aflelou sent away a hard shot on goal in the 25th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. In the 26th minute, Haider Belkhadem had to leave the field with a concussion. In the 27th minute, Admer Bouteflika hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Abdeldjalil Moll sent away a hard shot on goal in the 29th minute, but the ball hit the crossbar and went out. A very good chance for a goal. If Adel Belkacem had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 33rd minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Labib Zaghbib made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Lakhdar Arif in the 35th minute of play. 38 minutes into the game, Lakhdar Arif cracked a shot to the right of the goalkeeper, 0-3. Labib Zaghbib was not in position, and could only watch the ball fly in.

The wind increased when Lakhdar Arif made the kick off in the second half. With his leg Labib Zaghbib managed to avoid a goal in the 53rdth minute, when Wellington's Lakhdar Arif fired away a shot with a lot of spin towards his right hand side. In the 57th minute Abdeldjalil Moll shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Cheb Rahmani saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. In the 61st match minute, Burscough was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Abderrahmane Firoud to maneuver through the defense. Adel Belkacem fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 64th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Cheb Rahmani having to interfere. The audience was convinced that Adel Belkacem's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Cheb Rahmani was relentless in the 66th minute of the game. In the 70th minute, Lakhdar Arif made a precise shot to the right of Labib Zaghbib. Burscough's defense was at fault, and the scoreboard reflected the new score, 0-4. After 88 minutes of play, Wellington's Lakhdar Arif made it 0-6 when he simply outclassed the defender marking him and hit a curling shot into the right side of the net. Labib Zaghbib was left in no man's land by his defense there! Lakhdar Arif could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 96th minute of the match, but Labib Zaghbib made a huge save. When the final whistle was heard the away supporters stood up and showed their joy. Wellington had managed to secure a win in what was a close match throughout.
