With a left leg Achraf Asma saved Spilsby United from getting behind. After a defensive mix-up in Kidsgrove's zone, Amzar Chadl stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Abdellatif Banouas came out of the goal and Amzar Chadl tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. Hamza Ihaddaden who was well placed in front of the goal fired away a dangerous shot that in the 11thth minute tested the skills of Abdellatif Banouas when he managed to save the team from getting behind. Achraf Asma showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Mehdi Benida, who was totally free with the ball in the 13th minute. After 13 played minutes Spilsby United got a freekick which was hit by Knodi Boniche. If Hilal Heddou had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 15th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Mehdi Benida fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 18th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Achraf Asma having to interfere. Mehdi Benida sent away a hard shot on goal in the 21st minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. In the 25th minute Mehdi Benida shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Achraf Asma saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. 0-1 became the score in the 26th minute when Hilal Heddou elegantly shot the ball into goal just under the crossbar. An unexpectedly hard shot by Hilal Heddou in the 32nd minute of play forced Spilsby United's goalkeeper Achraf Asma to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Amzar Chadl received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 39th minute. Abdellatif Banouas tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. When Amzar Chadl came up free with the goalie in the 41st minute, the Spilsby United fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Amzar Chadl couldn't finish the play. Bahi Madani charged in rather forcefully in the 47th minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Bahi Madani the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. In the 48th match minute, Kidsgrove was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Bahi Madani to maneuver through the defense. Disappointed in the 0-1 score, the home team went to the dressing room to adjust tactics for the second half.

The players of the away team seemed most concentrated when Amzar Chadl stepped up to make the kick off in the second half. When Hamza Ihaddaden came up free with the goalie in the 55th minute, the Spilsby United fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Hamza Ihaddaden couldn't finish the play. Abdallah Hadjadj hit a great freekick 56 minutes into the match. Abdessalem Ighil hit a great freekick 69 minutes into the match. 72 minutes into the match, Spilsby United's goalkeeper Achraf Asma had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Mehdi Benida. 74 minutes into the match, Kidsgrove's goal looked a bit too open when Hamza Ihaddaden came free, but Abdellatif Banouas reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. When the final whistle was heard the away supporters stood up and showed their joy. Kidsgrove had managed to secure a win in what was a close match throughout.
