The crowd rose to their feet as Abdelghafour Mezdad kicked a wonderful shot that went in to the left of a diving Dylan El Ouafi. That made the score 1-0 in the 5 minute of play. 12 minutes into the game, Benamar Maâti was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. Carterton AFC's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave Fowey the free kick. The supporters of Fowey booed when Carterton AFC was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 12 match minutes in a wonderful position. Benamar Maâti didn't get a good kick on the ball. If Abdellah Kerfali had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 16th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. In the 17th match minute, Fowey was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Nabil Embarek to maneuver through the defense. Abdellah Kerfali sent away a hard shot on goal in the 18th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Abdellah Kerfali's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Dylan El Ouafi read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 20th minute of play. If Abdelghafour Mezdad had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 22nd minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Makhloufi Fadela sent away a hard shot on goal in the 30th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. 33 minutes into the match, Carterton AFC's goal looked a bit too open when Hosni Cherrad came free, but Salah Zarabi reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Makhloufi Fadela's late challenge caught a Fowey's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Makhloufi Fadela helped the player get up and apologised. After some fancy dribbling in the 36th minute, Hosni Cherrad managed to get in a good position for a shot. Fowey's supporters rose to their feet, but Hosni Cherrad was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Salah Zarabi breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. Mouloud Harkouk might have been able to make a better finish in the 37th minute when he tried to place a hard shot over Salah Zarabi. Instead the ball went over the crossbar and out. Mouloud Harkouk ran back to his position shaking his head. Abdelghafour Mezdad fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 46th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Dylan El Ouafi having to interfere. The away team players looked dejected as the walked off the pitch at half time. They had fought hard, but were still losing 1-0.

The hometeam waved at the audience when it was time for Abdelghafour Mezdad to strike the kick off in the second half. Hosni Cherrad received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 64th minute. Salah Zarabi tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. With his leg Salah Zarabi managed to avoid a goal in the 67thth minute, when Fowey's Mouloud Harkouk fired away a shot with a lot of spin towards his right hand side. 74 minutes into the match, Carterton AFC's goal looked a bit too open when Hosni Cherrad came free, but Salah Zarabi reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Abdellah Kerfali received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 77th minute. Dylan El Ouafi tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Abdelghafour Mezdad in the 79th managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Dylan El Ouafi saved Fowey from getting behind. Dylan El Ouafi didn't have a chance when a screaming shot from Abdelghafour Mezdad went, in the 94th minute, to the upper right corner, 3-0 was the resulting score.
