When Arsan Derbouz came up free with the goalie in the 14th minute, the Meldreth fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Arsan Derbouz couldn't finish the play. Smaïn Kherchi was a little too slow when Arsan Derbouz got a fine hit on the ball which went right into the goal in the 22nd minute. The score was now 1-0. Smaïn Kherchi showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Cherif Teissier in the 25th minute of the match. After a defensive mix-up in Ilkley's zone, Arsan Derbouz stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Smaïn Kherchi came out of the goal and Arsan Derbouz tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. Omar Tahar showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Hadj Zeghbouche, who was totally free with the ball in the 30th minute. Ismaïl Timsit sent away a hard shot on goal in the 33rd minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. 38 minutes into the match, Meldreth's goal looked a bit too open when Mounir Mzali came free, but Omar Tahar reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Omar Tahar showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Mounir Mzali in the 41st minute of the match. In the 45thth minute of the game Hadj Zeghbouche who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but Meldreth's Omar Tahar was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. 47 minutes into the game, Zine-Eddine Mamouni recieved a splendid long ball, split the defenders, and gently placed the ball to the left of Smaïn Kherchi. Zine-Eddine Mamouni showed that you don't have to tear a hole in the net to score, 2-0. The away team players looked dejected as the walked off the pitch at half time. They had fought hard, but were still losing 2-0.

The hometeam waved at the audience when it was time for Mounir Mzali to strike the kick off in the second half. An unexpected shot in the 54th minute by Hadj Zeghbouche got the crowd on their feet, but to their dismay it went out on the left side. 58 minutes into the game, one of Meldreth:s players got tackled near the goal, and the referee blew for a penalty. Abdel Brahimi shot the penalty kick by force right in the crossbar. No goal. When Zidan Aribi fell near the penalty area in the 63rd minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored Meldreth's protests and gave Zidan Aribi a yellow card for diving instead. In the 63rd match minute, Meldreth was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Zidan Aribi to maneuver through the defense. A very good chance. 79 minutes into the match, Zine-Eddine Mamouni notched a goal, 3-0, to the right of Ilkley's Smaïn Kherchi. Smaïn Kherchi was clearly disgusted with the effort of the defense and let the defenders know about it. After a rather tough play, Meldreth's Salih Zidane got a free kick in the 85th minute. Omar Tahar showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Mounir Mzali in the 87th minute of the match. If Hadj Zeghbouche had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 92nd minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. The audience thought a goal was coming when Hadj Zeghbouche got free with Omar Tahar in the 95th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. Ilkley's players left the field with heads hung low after losing a match that had been finely balanced throughout.
