When Malek Hamyane fell near the penalty area in the 3rd minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored Stockton-on-Tees's protests and gave Malek Hamyane a yellow card for diving instead. The supporters of Cheshunt booed when Stockton-on-Tees was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 3 match minutes in a wonderful position. Malek Hamyane didn't get a good kick on the ball. Bahi Zeggaï made an important save on a dangerous shot by Anwa Semghouni in the 12th minute. After some fancy dribbling in the 14th minute, Amhaws Megharia managed to get in a good position for a shot. Stockton-on-Tees's supporters rose to their feet, but Amhaws Megharia was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Bahi Zeggaï breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. Daho Meknassa stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Fateh Brahimi's shot from short distance in the 18th minute. Malek Hamyane was shown his second yellow card after 25 minutes, following a rather ugly tackle on opponent. That was the end of his participation in the match. In the 26th match minute, Stockton-on-Tees was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Malek Hamyane to maneuver through the defense. Yazid Khaldi took a chance and fired a shot far from the goal in the 26th minute, but it turned out to be a dangerous situation for Daho Meknassa. Stockton-on-Tees's goalkeeper really had to stretch himself to stop the ball from crossing the goal line. In the 30th minute, Anwa Semghouni got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. An unexpected shot in the 32nd minute by Anwa Semghouni got the crowd on their feet, but to their dismay it went out on the left side. 39 minutes into the game, Abdelmalek Khaled cracked a shot to the right of the goalkeeper, 0-1. Daho Meknassa was not in position, and could only watch the ball fly in. Taha Mami fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 45th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Bahi Zeggaï having to interfere. The crowd was extremely unhappy with the home team's performance in the first half. They were losing 0-1.

Both teams looked relatively alert before the second half when the referee blew his whistle to tell Akim El Amri to make the kick off. Fateh Brahimi struck a weak shot in the 58th minute. Daho Meknassa didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Cheshunt. Bahi Zeggaï stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Anwa Semghouni's shot from short distance in the 61st minute. Anwa Semghouni recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 66th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. 69 minutes into the match, Cheshunt's Fateh Brahimi sent off a blazing shot straight on target, a shot that Daho Meknassa narrowly saved just below the crossbar. Fateh Brahimi sent away a hard shot on goal in the 73rd minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Anwa Semghouni recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 76th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. Cheshunt's Bahi Zeggaï played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Anwa Semghouni in the 77th minute of play. When Fateh Brahimi came up free with the goalie in the 81st minute, the Cheshunt fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Fateh Brahimi couldn't finish the play. After having played for 85 minutes, Fateh Brahimi managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Cheshunt's supporters crossed their fingers, but Fateh Brahimi was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. In the 86th match minute, Stockton-on-Tees was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Kassel Achiu to maneuver through the defense. 87 minutes into the match, Stockton-on-Tees's goal looked a bit too open when Akim El Amri came free, but Daho Meknassa reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. In the 88th match minute, Stockton-on-Tees was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Amhaws Megharia to maneuver through the defense. Akim El Amri fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 91st minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Daho Meknassa having to interfere. Taha Mami hit a great freekick 92 minutes into the match. The Cheshunt players were the happier at the end of the match as they had prevented Stockton-on-Tees from taking control. The game ends in a draw.
