But to his dismay, Seddik Meskouri quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 0-1. If Seddik Meskouri had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 20th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Farouk Nima could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 25th minute of the match, but Adza Bouraada made a huge save. Romford's goalkeeper really had to stretch himself to stop the ball from crossing the goal line. Luck had favoured the away team in the first, and they walked off with a 0-1 lead.

In the 53rd minute Eton were awarded a corner. Mokhtar Saïd went to the cornerflag to take it. The corner led Eton's Mokhtar Saïd to fire away a dangerous shot which Abdelatif Benbrahim despite some difficulties managed to get hold on the ball. Farouk Nima fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 67th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Adza Bouraada having to interfere. Seddik Meskouri received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 69th minute. Abdelatif Benbrahim tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere.
