After 6 minutes, Ifthen Said mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the Grimsby AFC and the Ironville players grew even worse after the yellow card. After 6 played minutes Grimsby AFC got a freekick which was hit by Ifthen Said. Ramzi Dridi struck a weak shot in the 10th minute. Moussa Douadi didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Grimsby AFC. Nordine Guendouz fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 11th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Jussef Benali having to interfere. In the 14th match minute, Ironville was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Idriss Ferrah to maneuver through the defense. When Grimsby AFC's Ramzi Dridi in the 20th minute got a chance for a shot 20th didn't hesitate and placed the ball to the right of the goalie. A beautiful save bye Ironville's goalie prevented a goal. In the 28th match minute, Ironville was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Nouh Kheyari to maneuver through the defense. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Ramzi Dridi in the 32nd minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Moussa Douadi prevented the ball from getting in the gole. If Chahid Zenia had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 33rd minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. With a little luck, Grimsby AFC's Jussef Benali got control of the ball when Nadir Hamid tried to sneak it across the goal line. After a defensive mix-up in Grimsby AFC's zone, Nordine Guendouz stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Jussef Benali came out of the goal and Nordine Guendouz tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. The first half was very even, with the score at 1-1 when the whistle went for half-time. The players welcomed the break and quickly retired to the dressing rooms.

If Nadir Hamid had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 54th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Jussef Benali showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Nadir Hamid in the 56th minute of the match. When Ifthen Said came up free with the goalie in the 61st minute, the Grimsby AFC fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Ifthen Said couldn't finish the play. Jussef Benali made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Nadir Hamid in the 64th minute of play. When Nordine Guendouz came up free with the goalie in the 70th minute, the Ironville fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Nordine Guendouz couldn't finish the play. 75 minutes into the game, Nordine Guendouz cracked a shot to the right of the goalkeeper, 2-1. Jussef Benali was not in position, and could only watch the ball fly in. 78 minutes into the game, Hemza Meriem was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. Grimsby AFC's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave Ironville the free kick. Nordine Guendouz kicked well hit freekick during the 85th minute of the match. In the 91st minute, Nadir Hamid got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. Nordine Guendouz received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 92nd minute. Jussef Benali tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Nordine Guendouz in the 95th minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Jussef Benali prevented the ball from getting in the gole. For all the effort they put into the match, the Grimsby AFC players left disappointed. They had fought hard, but couldn't break down the home team's defense. The match ended in a win for Ironville.
