Yassine Kourichi stood somewhat misplaced when Zaïm Fadhil came free in front of goal and shot 1-0 to the left of him in the 3 minute. After some fancy dribbling in the 6th minute, Zaïm Fadhil managed to get in a good position for a shot. Sunderland FC's supporters rose to their feet, but Zaïm Fadhil was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Yassine Kourichi breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. After a defensive mix-up in Thamesmead's zone, Brahim Asma stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Yassine Kourichi came out of the goal and Brahim Asma tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. In the 14th match minute, Sunderland FC was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Amine Hansali to maneuver through the defense. Messaoud Arrache sent away a hard shot on goal in the 17th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Dida Halimi received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 18th minute. Ishak Iles tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Yassine Kourichi made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Zaïm Fadhil in the 20th minute of play. Ishak Iles showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Messaoud Arrache, who was totally free with the ball in the 23rd minute. 24 minutes into the game, Brahim Asma cracked a shot to the right of the goalkeeper, 2-0. Yassine Kourichi was not in position, and could only watch the ball fly in. Yassine Kourichi made an important save on a dangerous shot by Brahim Asma in the 28th minute. Thamesmead's Dida Halimi got a good chance for a goal in the 30th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. Thamesmead's Hameur Bouzzou couldn't find anyone to pass the ball to, so he shot a long shot towards the goal in the 34th minute. The shot went wide which resulted in a goal kick for Sunderland FC. When Messaoud Arrache fell near the penalty area in the 37th minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored Thamesmead's protests and gave Messaoud Arrache a yellow card for diving instead. An unexpectedly hard shot by Zaïm Fadhil in the 40th minute of play forced Thamesmead's goalkeeper Yassine Kourichi to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. The away team players looked dejected as the walked off the pitch at half time. They had fought hard, but were still losing 2-0.

The players of the away team seemed most concentrated when Messaoud Arrache stepped up to make the kick off in the second half. Hameur Bouzzou made a great header on Thamesmead's corner, it was just that Sunderland FC's Ishak Iles managed to reach the ball for a save. In the 57th minute, Dida Halimi hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. In the 59thth minute of the game Zaïm Fadhil who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but Thamesmead's Yassine Kourichi was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. If Dida Halimi had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 62nd minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Brahim Asma sent away a hard shot on goal in the 64th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. After having played for 69 minutes, Dida Halimi managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Thamesmead's supporters crossed their fingers, but Dida Halimi was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. Brahim Asma received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 70th minute. Yassine Kourichi tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Dida Halimi might have been able to make a better finish in the 75th minute when he tried to place a hard shot over Ishak Iles. Instead the ball went over the crossbar and out. Dida Halimi ran back to his position shaking his head. Zaïm Fadhil received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 76th minute. Yassine Kourichi tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Zaïm Fadhil sent away a hard shot on goal in the 85th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. If Zaïm Fadhil had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 88th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Messaoud Arrache blasted a shot towards the goal in the 91st minute, but the shot hit the top of the crossbar and went out without Ishak Iles having to make a save. Thamesmead's Yassine Kourichi played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Brahim Asma in the 94th minute of play. Sunderland FC were really happy, having secured the victory after a very even contest. They thanked the players of Thamesmead for a fine match.
