Spectators: 6728 (Terracing: 5000, Seating: 1728, VIP seats: 0) It was fairly windy and cold on the field when Larbi Messaoudi kicked off to start the match. In the 2nd minute, Houd Benichou fired away a shot on goal. He put a little to much spin on the ball and sent it just wide of the right post. Bouabdellah Ibrir hit a great freekick 7 minutes into the match. In the 14th minute, Djillali Bendjedid hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Newbold Verdon's Abdallah Zughba couldn't find anyone to pass the ball to, so he shot a long shot towards the goal in the 14th minute. The shot went wide which resulted in a goal kick for Telford AFC. Noureddine Hamid took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Larbi Messaoudi, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Houd Benichou in the 20th minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Djallel Djenoui prevented the ball from getting in the gole. Djallel Djenoui made an important save on a dangerous shot by Abdul Racim in the 22nd minute. Telford AFC's Djallel Djenoui played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Houd Benichou in the 28th minute of play. Ghumer Dennane fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 32nd minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Djallel Djenoui having to interfere. In the 36th minute, Larbi Messaoudi got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. Abdul Racim sent away a hard shot on goal in the 41st minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Noureddine Hamid made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Chérif Sahnouni in the 45th minute of play. Luck had favoured the away team in the first, and they walked off with a 0-1 lead.

The wind increased when Houd Benichou made the kick off in the second half. In the 53rd minute the ball was on its way in behind Newbold Verdon's goalkeeper Noureddine Hamid, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. After a defensive mix-up in Newbold Verdon's zone, Larbi Messaoudi stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Noureddine Hamid came out of the goal and Larbi Messaoudi tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. In the 61st minute, Bouabdellah Ibrir hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. A collision led to Telford AFC getting a freekick after 65 minutes play. Bouabdellah Ibrir hit a great ball. The attack was good, but when Abdul Racim in the 69th minute was about to shoot he didn't kick quite good enough and the ball went high over goal. In the 72nd minute, Ghumer Dennane hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. A collision led to Newbold Verdon getting a freekick after 80 minutes play. Abdallah Zughba hit a great ball. After some fancy dribbling in the 87th minute, Chérif Sahnouni managed to get in a good position for a shot. Telford AFC's supporters rose to their feet, but Chérif Sahnouni was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Noureddine Hamid breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. In the 89th minute of the match, Chérif Sahnouni got a very nice opportunity to score, but Noureddine Hamid was well-placed and pushed the ball away from the goal at the left post. Telford AFC's supporters were very happy and cheered loudly because their team had won after a very close match.
