If Atmane Saadane had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 18th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Atmane Saadane's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Othmane Benida read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 23rd minute of play. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Gebril Djebbour in the 54th managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Othmane Benida saved Bethnal Green and Hackney AFC from getting behind. The crowd rose to their feet as Crewe City's Gebril Djebbour slotted home a wonderful shot that went in to the left of Othmane Benida. That made the score 0-3 after 58 minutes of play. After having played for 63 minutes, Gebril Djebbour managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Crewe City's supporters crossed their fingers, but Gebril Djebbour was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal.
