Crewe City's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave Newbold Verdon the free kick. After a rather tough play, Crewe City's Anwa Boufroura got a free kick in the 18th minute. Bilal El Ouazzani hit a great freekick 20 minutes into the match. Abdul Racim received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 22nd minute. Abdel Karim Saïd tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Atmane Saadane could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 44th minute of the match, but Noureddine Hamid made a huge save. Gebril Djebbour fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 45th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Noureddine Hamid having to interfere. After fighting hard for a draw in the first half, the players were able to take a much needed rest.

Abdallah Zughba was probably a little too eager to shoot when he, in the 52nd played minute, shot the ball from way out. The shot was hard, but the ball flew wide of the goal. In the 62nd minute the ball was on its way in behind Crewe City's goalkeeper Abdel Karim Saïd, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. Crewe City:s Abdel Karim Saïd showed great skill when he stopped Abdallah Zughba:s penalty. Hakim Hansali hit a great freekick 68 minutes into the match. A collision led to Newbold Verdon getting a freekick after 73 minutes play. Mokdad Ghanem hit a great ball. Noureddine Hamid made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Gebril Djebbour in the 74th minute of play. Atmane Saadane scored 1-0 in the 76th match minute with a shot that went into the goal to the right of Noureddine Hamid, who was just a little too slow in reacting to the shot. Noureddine Hamid came out of the goal in the 79th minute to try and stop a shot by Crewe City's Atmane Saadane. But to his dismay, Atmane Saadane quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 2-0. Atmane Saadane received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 83rd minute. Noureddine Hamid tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. 86 minutes into the match, Newbold Verdon's goal looked a bit too open when Gebril Djebbour came free, but Noureddine Hamid reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. After some fancy dribbling in the 88th minute, Gebril Djebbour managed to get in a good position for a shot. Crewe City's supporters rose to their feet, but Gebril Djebbour was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Noureddine Hamid breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. After 90 minutes, Gebril Djebbour made it 3-0 with a short kick to the right side. Newbold Verdon's Noureddine Hamid tried to save the shot but he was too slow in reacting to the shot. In the 95th minute, Gebril Djebbour left the goalkeeper for dead before tapping the ball into the right side of the net. The Crewe City fans were clearly happy with the effort and the scoreboard reflected the new score: 4-0.
