Zakaria Brahimi could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 9th minute of the match, but Abdel Karim Saïd made a huge save. The supporters of Chelsea Football Club booed when Crewe City was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 16 match minutes in a wonderful position. Gebril Djebbour didn't get a good kick on the ball. Abdel Karim Saïd showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Nasser Medjani in the 17th minute of the match. Rabah Hamdani was not in position, and could only watch the ball fly in. When Anthar Fochtali fell near the penalty area in the 34th minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored Chelsea Football Club's protests and gave Anthar Fochtali a yellow card for diving instead. In the 35th minute of the match Madjer Mezghenna shot from a long distance. The ball could have gone into the goal to the right of the goalkeeper, but Rabah Hamdani showed his good shape when he easily got hold of the ball. Abdel Karim Saïd didn't have a chance when a screaming shot from Zakaria Brahimi went, in the 36th minute, to the upper right corner, 3-1 was the resulting score. Zakaria Brahimi sent away a hard shot on goal in the 40th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Nasser Medjani recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 41st minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. After some fancy dribbling in the 44th minute, Nasser Medjani managed to get in a good position for a shot. Chelsea Football Club's supporters rose to their feet, but Nasser Medjani was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Abdel Karim Saïd breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. The away team players looked dejected as the walked off the pitch at half time. They had fought hard, but were still losing 3-1.

Both teams looked relatively alert before the second half when the referee blew his whistle to tell Gebril Djebbour to make the kick off. If Atmane Saadane had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 65th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. The Chelsea Football Club fans were clearly happy with the effort and the scoreboard reflected the new score: 4-1.
