Hunslet City's supporters rose to their feet, but Smaïn Messai was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Dari Laref breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. When Hacène Alemdar fell near the penalty area in the 20th minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored Hunslet City's protests and gave Hacène Alemdar a yellow card for diving instead. Ishak Mansouri stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Anouar Khorci's shot from short distance in the 24th minute. If Anouar Khorci had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 27th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Smail Zidane sent away a hard shot on goal in the 29th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Ishak Mansouri showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Smail Zidane in the 32nd minute of the match. In the 34th match minute, Hunslet City was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Malek Feraoun to maneuver through the defense. 45 minutes into the match, Hunslet City's goal looked a bit too open when Smail Zidane came free, but Ishak Mansouri reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. In a very dangerous position, a player in Warrington United fell when an opponent tried to get the ball from him in the 48th minute. Penalty! The away team players looked dejected as the walked off the pitch at half time. They had fought hard, but were still losing 2-0.

Both teams looked relatively alert before the second half when the referee blew his whistle to tell Smail Zidane to make the kick off. Ishak Mansouri showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Smail Zidane, who was totally free with the ball in the 58th minute. In the 59th minute Mouloud Hansali shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Dari Laref saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Anouar Khorci's shot when he came free in front of the goal in the 62ndth minute, Ishak Mansouri skillfully showed off with a save to what seemed to be an obvious goal. Ishak Mansouri showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Smail Zidane in the 63rd minute of the match. Bazil Tlemcani recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 67th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. In the 77th minute Mouloud Hansali shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Dari Laref saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Smaïn Messai fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 87th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Dari Laref having to interfere. If Anouar Khorci had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 91st minute. The ball went over the crossbar instead. In the 93rd minute Smail Zidane shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Ishak Mansouri saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. The referee blew his whistle, and the match came to a close. The players exchanged shirts and headed down the tunnel. The Hunslet City fans cheered their team off the field, for while Warrington United had put up a good fight, they were unable to come out of the game with any points to show for their effort.
