With a little luck, Crvena Zvezda's Tami Laura Douibi got control of the ball when Rafik Guellil tried to sneak it across the goal line. A collision led to Crvena Zvezda getting a freekick after 15 minutes play. Nacer Mimoun hit a great ball. In the 18th minute Stanmore were awarded a corner. Hamid Feraoun went to the cornerflag to take it. A nice corner shot did that Hamid Feraoun got away a dangerous shot. Despite this Tami Laura Douibi quite easily got ahold of the ball to make the save. The supporters of Stanmore booed when Crvena Zvezda was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 19 match minutes in a wonderful position. Djamel Tlemcani didn't get a good kick on the ball. An unexpected shot in the 30th minute by Rafik Guellil got the crowd on their feet, but to their dismay it went out on the left side. A collision led to Stanmore getting a freekick after 33 minutes play. Sammy El Kettani hit a great ball. In the 35th minute Nabil Mezair shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Tami Laura Douibi saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. 44 minutes into the match, Crvena Zvezda's goal looked a bit too open when Nabil Mezair came free, but Tami Laura Douibi reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. After some fancy dribbling in the 47th minute, Rafik Guellil managed to get in a good position for a shot. Stanmore's supporters rose to their feet, but Rafik Guellil was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Tami Laura Douibi breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. After fighting hard for a draw in the first half, the players were able to take a much needed rest.

The wind increased when Nabil Mezair made the kick off in the second half. If Rafik Guellil had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 53rd minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. 56 minutes into the match, Crvena Zvezda's goal looked a bit too open when Rafik Guellil came free, but Tami Laura Douibi reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. The Crvena Zvezda fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Tami Laura Douibi should have stopped the shot. Crvena Zvezda's Nasserredine Seghiri got a good chance for a goal in the 66th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. Tami Laura Douibi stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Rafik Guellil's shot from short distance in the 69th minute. A collision led to Crvena Zvezda getting a freekick after 73 minutes play. Abdelkader Mohand hit a great ball. Nabil Mezair sent away a hard shot on goal in the 74th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Stanmore's Rafik Guellil got a good chance for a goal in the 81st minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. 86 minutes into the match, Nabil Mezair had an open shot that he just couldn't miss and scored to the right of Tami Laura Douibi. Crvena Zvezda's manager could be seen yelling to the referee that Nabil Mezair was offside, but the referee ignored the protest. 2-0. Hocine Apap kicked well hit freekick during the 91st minute of the match. After recieving a nice pass, Stanmore's Hamid Feraoun tried to score from far away in the 92nd minute, but the ball went over the crossbar. 94 minutes into the match, Crvena Zvezda's goal looked a bit too open when Rafik Guellil came free, but Tami Laura Douibi reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Djamel Tlemcani charged in rather forcefully in the 95th minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Djamel Tlemcani the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. Djamel Tlemcani kicked well hit freekick during the 95th minute of the match. Nabil Mezair fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 96th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Tami Laura Douibi having to interfere. For all the effort they put into the match, the Crvena Zvezda players left disappointed. They had fought hard, but couldn't break down the home team's defense. The match ended in a win for Stanmore.
