Azzouz Hamrouche showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Malik Messaoudi, who was totally free with the ball in the 12th minute. 12 minutes into the match, Malik Messaoudi notched a goal, 1-1, to the right of Curdridge's Azzouz Hamrouche. Azzouz Hamrouche was clearly disgusted with the effort of the defense and let the defenders know about it. Chahid Sami sent away a hard shot on goal in the 19th minute, but the ball hit the crossbar and went out. A very good chance for a goal. 20 minutes into the match, Clowne's goal looked a bit too open when Said Menad came free, but Mahboub Morceli reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. 21 minutes into the match, Curdridge's goal looked a bit too open when Hakim Ziani came free, but Azzouz Hamrouche reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. After having played for 22 minutes, Hakim Ziani managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Clowne's supporters crossed their fingers, but Hakim Ziani was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. Azzouz Hamrouche showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Malik Messaoudi in the 22nd minute of the match. After 24 minutes Curdridge's defender was forced to head the ball over the line for a corner. It was Hassan Bouziane who took care of the corner kick. The corner led Clowne's Hassan Bouziane to fire away a dangerous shot which Azzouz Hamrouche despite some difficulties managed to get hold on the ball. Azhar Saïb recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 28th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. Curdridge's Azzouz Hamrouche played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Malik Messaoudi in the 32nd minute of play. Chahid Sami could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 36th minute of the match, but Mahboub Morceli made a huge save. Said Menad fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 37th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Mahboub Morceli having to interfere. Hassan Bouziane lost his temper 39 minutes into the game and shoved another player to the ground. He was immediately shown a red card. If Chahid Sami had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 46th minute. The ball went over the crossbar instead. The away team players looked dejected as the walked off the pitch at half time. They had fought hard, but were still losing 2-1.

When the second half was about to start, both teams quickly lined up and Hakim Ziani made a kick off. Nasserredine Metref charged in rather forcefully in the 52nd minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Nasserredine Metref the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. The Clowne fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Mahboub Morceli should have stopped the shot. Mahboub Morceli made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Said Menad in the 61st minute of play. Mahboub Morceli took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Said Menad, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Chahid Sami received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 74th minute. Mahboub Morceli tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. In the 76th minute Chahid Sami shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Mahboub Morceli saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Hakim Ziani struck a weak shot in the 80th minute. Azzouz Hamrouche didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Clowne.
