When the match clock showed 8 minutes, the score became 0-1 when Ahmed Merbah sped through Arundel United's defense and sent away a curving shot that went into the net to the right of Assad Matmour. With a little luck, Folkestone's Marcelino Breogan got control of the ball when Slimane Teissier tried to sneak it across the goal line. After 14 played minutes Folkestone got a freekick which was hit by Hamza Halimi. A collision led to Arundel United getting a freekick after 16 minutes play. Slimane Teissier hit a great ball. In the 18th minute, Ahmed Merbah got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. Abdelkader Ziani kicked well hit freekick during the 19th minute of the match. A collision led to Folkestone getting a freekick after 20 minutes play. Ahmed Merbah hit a great ball. An unexpectedly hard shot by Ahmed Merbah in the 22nd minute of play forced Arundel United's goalkeeper Assad Matmour to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. In the 23rd minute, Ahmed Merbah ran past the defenders and hit a shot which went straight ahead into goal. Assad Matmour was frozen by the shot and now it was 0-2. Ahmed Merbah fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 26th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Assad Matmour having to interfere. Rostom Saâdani hit a great freekick 27 minutes into the match. Ahmed Merbah received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 29th minute. Assad Matmour tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. 31 minutes into the game, Ahmed Merbah cracked a shot to the right of the goalkeeper, 0-3. Assad Matmour was not in position, and could only watch the ball fly in. When Folkestone's Ahmed Merbah in the 35th minute got a chance for a shot 35th didn't hesitate and placed the ball to the right of the goalie. A beautiful save bye Arundel United's goalie prevented a goal. Ahmed Merbah recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 37th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. If Marwan Harkouk had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 39th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Ahmed Merbah in the 44th managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Assad Matmour saved Arundel United from getting behind. Ahmed Merbah might have been able to make a better finish in the 47th minute when he tried to place a hard shot over Assad Matmour. Instead the ball went over the crossbar and out. Ahmed Merbah ran back to his position shaking his head. Even after changing tactics the home team jogged off the field with a 0-3 deficit. They would have to work harder if they wanted to turn things around in the second half.

With a little luck, Arundel United's Assad Matmour got control of the ball when Ahmed Merbah tried to sneak it across the goal line. Farouk Chaffaï could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 54th minute of the match, but Assad Matmour made a huge save. Ahmed Merbah sent away a hard shot on goal in the 57th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Assad Matmour stood somewhat misplaced when Ahmed Merbah came free in front of goal and shot 0-4 to the left of him in the 60 minute. 65 minutes into the match, Arundel United's goal looked a bit too open when Kamel Zafour came free, but Assad Matmour reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Ahmed Merbah did some fancy footwork in front of goal and succeeded to deceive the defenders so he could slam the ball in 0-5 to the left of a surprised Assad Matmour 68 minutes into the match. When Ahmed Merbah came up free with the goalie in the 71st minute, the Folkestone fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Ahmed Merbah couldn't finish the play. If Farouk Chaffaï had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 72nd minute. The ball went over the crossbar instead. Ahmed Merbah in the 79thth minute had a little luck and got a chance for a shot in front of the goal. Without hesitation aimed to the right of Assad Matmour, who managed to lunge to the right direction and made a save. Salah Mazi sent away a hard shot on goal in the 86th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Arundel United's Assad Matmour played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Ahmed Merbah in the 89th minute of play. When Farouk Chaffaï came up free with the goalie in the 90th minute, the Folkestone fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Farouk Chaffaï couldn't finish the play. 95 minutes into the match, Arundel United's goal looked a bit too open when Farouk Chaffaï came free, but Assad Matmour reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Arundel United's Slimane Teissier got his second yellow card of the match in the 95th minute. The referee ordered Slimane Teissier off the ground.
