The supporters of Evesham booed when Middlesbrough was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 45 match minutes in a wonderful position. Abdellah Ibrir didn't get a good kick on the ball. After a very even first half the match was still tied. The players went to their respective dressing rooms to discuss the tactics for the second half.

After taking down the ball on Evesham's corner Mohand Sadmi fired away a hard shot, but the defenders efficiently covered the most dangerous angles and Chérif Djeziri quite easily take care of the ball. In the 62nd minute, Reda Benguesmia fired away a shot on goal. He put a little to much spin on the ball and sent it just wide of the right post. Hichem Arrache could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 74th minute of the match, but Chérif Djeziri made a huge save. Djallil Merdaci showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Abdelmalik Brahmi in the 78th minute of the match. After having played for 80 minutes, Daoud Fechtali managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Middlesbrough's supporters crossed their fingers, but Daoud Fechtali was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. 88 minutes into the game, Kader Cixous was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player.
