In the 6th minute, Tenbury Wells's Saber Faudel seemed to kick out at an opponent. The referee saw this and, surprisingly, showed Saber Faudel the red card, dismissing him from the pitch. The coaching staff of Tenbury Wells protested bitterly, but the referee would have none of it, and Saber Faudel had no choice but to slowly walk off the pitch. Tenbury Wells:s Salim Chebal showed great skill when he stopped Chams Boukensa:s penalty. Ferhat Moussa received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 12th minute. Salim Chebal tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. 14 minutes into the game, Gad Guergour was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. Tenbury Wells's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave Ely the free kick. The supporters of Ely booed when Tenbury Wells was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 14 match minutes in a wonderful position. Gad Guergour didn't get a good kick on the ball. 15 minutes into the match, Ferhat Moussa had an open shot that he just couldn't miss and scored to the right of Salim Chebal. Tenbury Wells's manager could be seen yelling to the referee that Ferhat Moussa was offside, but the referee ignored the protest. 0-1. The audience thought a goal was coming when Ketta Mezali got free with Abderrahmane Boutabout in the 21st minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. Ferhat Moussa received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 23rd minute. Salim Chebal tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Ferhat Moussa recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 25th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. If Ferhat Moussa had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 27th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. In the 32nd minute of the match Chams Boukensa sent off a long shot with destination to the right of the goalkeeper, but Salim Chebal skillfully saved the ball. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Yidir Lounis in the 34th managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Salim Chebal saved Tenbury Wells from getting behind. Ferhat Moussa fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 42nd minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Salim Chebal having to interfere. 46 minutes into the match, Tenbury Wells's goal looked a bit too open when Yidir Lounis came free, but Salim Chebal reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Even after changing tactics the home team jogged off the field with a 0-1 deficit. They would have to work harder if they wanted to turn things around in the second half.

The players of the home team were most fresh-looking when they entered the field to play the second half. Ketta Mezali was the one to do the kick off. Salim Chebal showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Nadjib Ali, who was totally free with the ball in the 53rd minute. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Cheikha Khodri during the 60th minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. In the 60th match minute, Ely was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Cheikha Khodri to maneuver through the defense. In the 63rd minute, Ketta Mezali got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. In the 64th minute, Cheikha Khodri hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. After some careless play in the Ely defense, Ketta Mezali kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Abderrahmane Boutabout. The Ely fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Abderrahmane Boutabout should have stopped the shot. When the match had gone on for 70 minutes, Yidir Lounis put it in 1-2 from a short distance just to the right of Salim Chebal. After 77 played minutes Yidir Lounis rounded Tenbury Wells's defense and shot a beautiful shot into goal via left pole - 1-3. In the 82nd match minute, Ely was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Nadjib Ali to maneuver through the defense. Abderrahmane Boutabout made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Ketta Mezali in the 85th minute of play. The supporters of Tenbury Wells booed when Ely was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 85 match minutes in a wonderful position. Cheikha Khodri didn't get a good kick on the ball. Yidir Lounis recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 92nd minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. Hikmet Zeghdoud kicked well hit freekick during the 93rd minute of the match. Yidir Lounis received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 94th minute. Salim Chebal tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Salim Chebal took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Yidir Lounis, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. The Tenbury Wells fans had already started to leave before the final whistle blew. Ely were clearly better and deserved to take the win.
