An unexpected shot in the 44th minute by Madani Benaouf got the crowd on their feet, but to their dismay it went out on the left side. If Madani Benaouf had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 49th minute. The ball went over the crossbar instead. Af the end of the first half the score was 1-0. The first half had gone as expected for the home team.

After a defensive mix-up in Southall FC's zone, Zinedine Dennane stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Nasreddine Lourdjane came out of the goal and Zinedine Dennane tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. Nasreddine Lourdjane made an important save on a dangerous shot by Hachem Zaghrani in the 55th minute. An unexpectedly hard shot by Liamine Hanister in the 62nd minute of play forced Welwyn Garden City City's goalkeeper Abbes Hindi to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Liamine Hanister in the 63rd managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Abbes Hindi saved Welwyn Garden City City from getting behind. After 70 played minutes Southall FC got a freekick which was hit by Bayna Assad. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Madani Benaouf in the 73rd managed to get into a good position. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. 95 minutes into the match, Welwyn Garden City City's goal looked a bit too open when Liamine Hanister came free, but Abbes Hindi reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Madani Benaouf fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 97th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Abbes Hindi having to interfere. The Welwyn Garden City City players were the happier at the end of the match as they had prevented Southall FC from taking control. The game ends in a draw.
