Aras Redouane showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Raouf Bouteflika, who was totally free with the ball in the 3rd minute. The referee showed Hikmet Chebal the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. If Atmane Djeballi had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 18th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Raouf Bouteflika fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 23rd minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Aras Redouane having to interfere. Sofyane Ali made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Atmane Djeballi in the 29th minute of play. Sofyane Ali stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Atmane Djeballi's shot from short distance in the 30th minute. Atmane Djeballi fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 33rd minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Sofyane Ali having to interfere. After having played for 36 minutes, Atmane Djeballi managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Cheltenham's supporters crossed their fingers, but Atmane Djeballi was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. 39 minutes into the match, Cheltenham's goalkeeper Aras Redouane had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Aflawas Saâdallah. Plymouth City's Aflawas Saâdallah got a good chance for a goal in the 43rd minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. Aras Redouane showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Raouf Bouteflika in the 45th minute of the match.

When the second half was about to start, both teams quickly lined up and Raouf Bouteflika made a kick off. Raouf Bouteflika recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 56th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. Aras Redouane made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Aflawas Saâdallah in the 58th minute of play. Aflawas Saâdallah struck a weak shot in the 64th minute. Aras Redouane didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Plymouth City. In the 65th match minute, Cheltenham was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Merouane Abdenouz to maneuver through the defense. Aflawas Saâdallah received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 66th minute. Aras Redouane tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Aflawas Saâdallah took the ball and in the 71 minute, shot a rapid shot to the right of a surprised Aras Redouane. Aras Redouane dived to the right, and did manage to get a hand on the shot, but it still went into the right corner making it 2-0. In the 76th minute Atmane Djeballi shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Sofyane Ali saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. With his leg Sofyane Ali managed to avoid a goal in the 87thth minute, when Cheltenham's Antar Tobbal fired away a shot with a lot of spin towards his right hand side. Raouf Bouteflika sent away a hard shot on goal in the 88th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. After a rather tough play, Plymouth City's Zinedine Zaaf got a free kick in the 92nd minute. Plymouth City's supporters were highly satisfied with the result. They cheered their team of the pitch, having watched them win a very even match.
