Abderrachid Hammad charged in rather forcefully in the 16th minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Abderrachid Hammad the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. A collision led to Holford getting a freekick after 16 minutes play. Abderrachid Hammad hit a great ball. If Haggi Boulebda had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 33rd minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Hadj Benichou during the 36th minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. 36 minutes into the game, one of Holford:s players got tackled near the goal, and the referee blew for a penalty. Billel Ben Bella placed the ball on the penalty spot and got himself ready to shoot. Post out! With a little luck, Holford's Abdallah Saïdani got control of the ball when Haggi Boulebda tried to sneak it across the goal line. A collision led to Holford getting a freekick after 41 minutes play. Antar Benyoucef hit a great ball. In the 45th match minute, Barnard Castle was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Haggi Boulebda to maneuver through the defense. Ammar Chaib took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Abdelkader Besseghir, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. After the first half the score was level. The break gave the players a chance to catch their breath, whilst the managers went over the tactics with them again.

Abdelkader Besseghir blasted a shot towards the goal in the 51st minute, but the shot hit the top of the crossbar and went out without Ammar Chaib having to make a save. Ammar Chaib made a fantastic save in the 53rd minute, when Saber Meriem sent off a good shot on target. The supporters of Holford booed when Barnard Castle was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 55 match minutes in a wonderful position. Hilal Ferrah didn't get a good kick on the ball. Ammar Chaib made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Abdelkader Besseghir in the 57th minute of play. Saber Meriem received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 59th minute. Ammar Chaib tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Ammar Chaib showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Saber Meriem in the 61st minute of the match. Haggi Boulebda scored 1-0 in the 65th match minute with a shot that went into the goal to the right of Abdallah Saïdani, who was just a little too slow in reacting to the shot. Haggi Boulebda received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 70th minute. Abdallah Saïdani tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. A nice corner shot did that Hadj Benichou got away a dangerous shot. Despite this Ammar Chaib quite easily got ahold of the ball to make the save. If Abdelkader Besseghir had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 87th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. 89 minutes into the match, Saber Meriem notched a goal, 1-1, to the right of Barnard Castle's Ammar Chaib. Ammar Chaib was clearly disgusted with the effort of the defense and let the defenders know about it. Abdallah Saïdani made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Ishak Benboudaoud in the 93rd minute of play. Both teams had looked equal from kick-off, and no-one was surprised when the match finally ended in a draw.
