Mehdi Bougherra fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 10th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Saïf Medjoudj having to interfere. 13 minutes into the game, Fakenham's Abderraouf Abbas nearly tore a hole in the net with a booming shot. Saïf Medjoudj made a valiant effort, but he could not reach the ball in time, 0-1. After having played for 16 minutes, Mehdi Bougherra managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Fakenham's supporters crossed their fingers, but Mehdi Bougherra was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. In the 18th minute Abderraouf Abbas shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Saïf Medjoudj saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. In the 19th minute, Abderraouf Abbas got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. 22 minutes into the match, St Ives FC's goal looked a bit too open when Abderraouf Abbas came free, but Saïf Medjoudj reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Fakenham's Baligh Cohen played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Madin Sellami in the 23rd minute of play. 27 minutes into the match, St Ives FC's goal looked a bit too open when Abderraouf Abbas came free, but Saïf Medjoudj reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Luck had favoured the away team in the first, and they walked off with a 0-1 lead.

53 minutes into the match, St Ives FC's goal looked a bit too open when Abderraouf Abbas came free, but Saïf Medjoudj reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Madin Sellami received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 55th minute. Baligh Cohen tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Saïf Medjoudj had in the 61stth minute some difficulties stopping Dylan Djaghloul's well aimed penalty as it nearly passed him on his left side, but he still managed to hold the ball. Mehdi Bougherra received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 65th minute. Saïf Medjoudj tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. When Mohand Brahami came up free with the goalie in the 69th minute, the St Ives FC fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Mohand Brahami couldn't finish the play. St Ives FC's Madin Sellami got a good chance for a goal in the 71st minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. If Madin Sellami had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 78th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Abderraouf Abbas recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 83rd minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. Baligh Cohen showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Mohand Brahami in the 85th minute of the match. Baligh Cohen made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Madin Sellami in the 92nd minute of play. Mohand Brahami's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Baligh Cohen read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 93rd minute of play. The away crowd were delighted with the way their team had played and cheered loudly when the final whistle sounded. Fakenham walked away with the win, even though the match was close until the end.
