After a defensive mix-up in Cheltenham FC's zone, Abdelaziz Faudel stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Zine-Eddine Hamdani came out of the goal and Abdelaziz Faudel tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. Abdelaziz Faudel struck a weak shot in the 7th minute. Zine-Eddine Hamdani didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Sutton Valence AFC. The long shot by Brahim Chedda in the 10th minute really tested Zine-Eddine Hamdani's skills. The ball was on its way into the goal to the left of him when he managed to stretch himself and save the shot and avoid a goal. Sutton Valence AFC's Hakim Zemmamouche played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Amine Ben Khalidi in the 19th minute of play. After 21 played minutes Cheltenham FC got a freekick which was hit by Amine Ben Khalidi. An unexpectedly hard shot by Ales Benida in the 24th minute of play forced Cheltenham FC's goalkeeper Zine-Eddine Hamdani to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. After some fancy dribbling in the 25th minute, Abdelaziz Faudel managed to get in a good position for a shot. Sutton Valence AFC's supporters rose to their feet, but Abdelaziz Faudel was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Zine-Eddine Hamdani breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. Bani Khelaifia kicked well hit freekick during the 29th minute of the match. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Amine Ben Khalidi in the 33rd managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Hakim Zemmamouche saved Sutton Valence AFC from getting behind. An unexpectedly hard shot by Amzun Guerrache in the 34th minute of play forced Sutton Valence AFC's goalkeeper Hakim Zemmamouche to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Amine Ben Khalidi struck a weak shot in the 35th minute. Hakim Zemmamouche didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Cheltenham FC. If Amzun Guerrache had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 37th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. After having played for 39 minutes, Amine Ben Khalidi managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Cheltenham FC's supporters crossed their fingers, but Amine Ben Khalidi was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. Abdelaziz Faudel sent away a hard shot on goal in the 43rd minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Zine-Eddine Hamdani was in the perfect position, and the defense had done a good job marking him, but Ales Benida showcased his skills and made a perfect shot to score 1-0 in the 45 minute of play. The away team players looked dejected as the walked off the pitch at half time. They had fought hard, but were still losing 1-0.

The supporters of Cheltenham FC booed when Sutton Valence AFC was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 52 match minutes in a wonderful position. Azzouz Zaccari didn't get a good kick on the ball. 59 minutes into the match, Abdelaziz Faudel had an open shot that he just couldn't miss and scored to the right of Zine-Eddine Hamdani. Cheltenham FC's manager could be seen yelling to the referee that Abdelaziz Faudel was offside, but the referee ignored the protest. 2-0. 63 minutes into the match, Cheltenham FC's goal looked a bit too open when Abdelaziz Faudel came free, but Zine-Eddine Hamdani reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. After 69 played minutes Sutton Valence AFC got a freekick which was hit by Ahmed El Moubarek. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Amine Ben Khalidi in the 71st managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Hakim Zemmamouche saved Sutton Valence AFC from getting behind. Ales Benida received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 72nd minute. Zine-Eddine Hamdani tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. In the 75th minute, Abdelaziz Faudel got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. Amine Ben Khalidi sent away a hard shot on goal in the 80th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. In the 88th minute, Amzun Guerrache made a precise shot to the right of Hakim Zemmamouche. Sutton Valence AFC's defense was at fault, and the scoreboard reflected the new score, 2-1. In the 91st match minute, Cheltenham FC was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Bani Khelaifia to maneuver through the defense. Zine-Eddine Hamdani came out of the goal in the 93rd minute to try and stop a shot by Sutton Valence AFC's Abdelaziz Faudel. But to his dismay, Abdelaziz Faudel quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 3-1. Cheltenham FC's players left the field with heads hung low after losing a match that had been finely balanced throughout.
