Berwick Upon Tweed United's supporters crossed their fingers, but Bassim Adjaoud was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. 24 minutes into the match, Blewbury United's goal looked a bit too open when Bouzid Bestandji came free, but Kacem Bachtarzi reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. When Slimane Moussaoui came up free with the goalie in the 25th minute, the Blewbury United fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Slimane Moussaoui couldn't finish the play. When Amzun Saïfi fell near the penalty area in the 28th minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored Berwick Upon Tweed United's protests and gave Amzun Saïfi a yellow card for diving instead. In the 28th minute, Amzun Saïfi hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Abdelmalik Belkhadem made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Djillali Zaghidour in the 42nd minute of play. Slimane Moussaoui struck a weak shot in the 43rd minute. Abdelmalik Belkhadem didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Blewbury United. After the first half the score was level. The break gave the players a chance to catch their breath, whilst the managers went over the tactics with them again.

Blewbury United's Kacem Bachtarzi played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Bassim Adjaoud in the 55th minute of play. In the 57thth minute of the game Bassim Adjaoud who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but Blewbury United's Kacem Bachtarzi was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. Bassim Adjaoud kicked well hit freekick during the 65th minute of the match. Abdelmalik Belkhadem showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Djillali Zaghidour in the 69th minute of the match. After 70 minutes of play, Blewbury United's Slimane Moussaoui made it 1-1 when he simply outclassed the defender marking him and hit a curling shot into the right side of the net. Abdelmalik Belkhadem was left in no man's land by his defense there! Bouzid Bestandji fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 75th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Kacem Bachtarzi having to interfere. Djillali Zaghidour sent away a hard shot on goal in the 82nd minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. An unexpectedly hard shot by Bassim Adjaoud in the 97th minute of play forced Blewbury United's goalkeeper Kacem Bachtarzi to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Both teams had looked equal from kick-off, and no-one was surprised when the match finally ended in a draw.
