Badreddine Zeghni took the ball and in the 12 minute, shot a rapid shot to the right of a surprised Chems Amirèche. Chems Amirèche dived to the right, and did manage to get a hand on the shot, but it still went into the right corner making it 2-0. In the 17th minute the ball was on its way in behind Swanton Abbot United's goalkeeper Chems Amirèche, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. Badreddine Zeghni received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 20th minute. Chems Amirèche tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. 22 minutes into the match, Swanton Abbot United's goalkeeper Chems Amirèche had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Mourad Aflelou. After a defensive mix-up in Pontefract's zone, Abdelatif Jeanson stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Assad Taâllah came out of the goal and Abdelatif Jeanson tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. Mourad Aflelou sent away a hard shot on goal in the 27th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. In the 37th minute of the match Bazga Dziri shot from a long distance. The ball could have gone into the goal to the right of the goalkeeper, but Assad Taâllah showed his good shape when he easily got hold of the ball. Assad Taâllah showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Jaber Ghozali, who was totally free with the ball in the 39th minute. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Badreddine Zeghni in the 42nd minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Chems Amirèche prevented the ball from getting in the gole. Swanton Abbot United were awarded a corner in the 48th minute after Pontefract's defender lost control of the ball, allowing it to roll out over the line. Bazga Dziri took the corner. After taking down the ball on Swanton Abbot United's corner Bazga Dziri fired away a hard shot, but the defenders efficiently covered the most dangerous angles and Assad Taâllah quite easily take care of the ball.

The hometeam waved at the audience when it was time for Badreddine Zeghni to strike the kick off in the second half. 52 minutes into the match, Swanton Abbot United's goal looked a bit too open when Mourad Aflelou came free, but Chems Amirèche reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Jaber Ghozali's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Assad Taâllah read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 55th minute of play. 57 minutes into the match, Swanton Abbot United's Abdelatif Jeanson sent off a blazing shot straight on target, a shot that Assad Taâllah narrowly saved just below the crossbar. In the 58th minute, Benamar Belghith hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Badreddine Zeghni might have been able to make a better finish in the 63rd minute when he tried to place a hard shot over Chems Amirèche. Instead the ball went over the crossbar and out. Badreddine Zeghni ran back to his position shaking his head. When Marouane Halouadji fell near the penalty area in the 65th minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored Swanton Abbot United's protests and gave Marouane Halouadji a yellow card for diving instead. The supporters of Pontefract booed when Swanton Abbot United was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 65 match minutes in a wonderful position. Marouane Halouadji didn't get a good kick on the ball. After a defensive mix-up in Swanton Abbot United's zone, Mourad Aflelou stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Chems Amirèche came out of the goal and Mourad Aflelou tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. Chems Amirèche showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Mourad Aflelou in the 70th minute of the match. In the 77th minute of the match, Abdelatif Jeanson tried to roll the ball into the goal by the right post, but Assad Taâllah saw his intentions and got control of the ball before it passed the line. Jaber Ghozali sent away a hard shot on goal in the 83rd minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Pontefract's defense didn't have a chance, in the 85th minute, when Abdelatif Jeanson scored to the left of an out of position Assad Taâllah, making the score, 2-1. After 88 played minutes Swanton Abbot United got a freekick which was hit by Fodil Belmadi. In the 94th minute the ball was on its way in behind Pontefract's goalkeeper Assad Taâllah, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. After some fancy dribbling in the 95th minute, Jaber Ghozali managed to get in a good position for a shot. Swanton Abbot United's supporters rose to their feet, but Jaber Ghozali was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Assad Taâllah breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. The crowd rose to their feet and cheered when the referee blew the final whistle. Pontefract had won after a very even match.
