Seating: 1744, VIP seats: 0) The mood of the audience was pleasant when Abdelmadjid Zakaria made the kick off which started today's match. Boubekeur Bouguerra scored 0-1 in the 8th match minute with a shot that went into the goal to the right of Zahid Rezzoug, who was just a little too slow in reacting to the shot. Nordine Abdelghani hit a great freekick 15 minutes into the match. Karim Brahimi fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 25th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Zahid Rezzoug having to interfere. In the 26thth minute of the game Boubekeur Bouguerra who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but Birmingham's Zahid Rezzoug was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. If Karim Brahimi had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 28th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. In the 29th minute, Karim Brahimi got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. After 31 minutes of play, Atherstone's Karim Brahimi made it 0-2 when he simply outclassed the defender marking him and hit a curling shot into the right side of the net. Zahid Rezzoug was left in no man's land by his defense there! The audience was convinced that Boubekeur Bouguerra's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Zahid Rezzoug was relentless in the 38th minute of the game. Abdeldjalil Kermali took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Abdelmadjid Zakaria, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. After the first half Atherstone were leading 0-2. They had played with great self confidence throughout the first half and fully deserved their lead.
The wind increased when Karim Brahimi made the kick off in the second half. After 52 played minutes Birmingham got a freekick which was hit by Abdelmadjid Zakaria. In the 55th minute of the match Atherstone got a corner. Birmingham's goalie ran out to the linesman to protest the call, but the linesman resolutely pointed his flag at the cornerflag. Anas Trari ran over to the corner to take the kick. Birmingham's Zahid Rezzoug played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Karim Brahimi in the 57th minute of play. A collision led to Atherstone getting a freekick after 62 minutes play. Anas Trari hit a great ball. If Cherif Boumedienne had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 64th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Cherif Boumedienne sent away a hard shot on goal in the 66th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. In the 68thth minute of the game Cherif Boumedienne who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but Atherstone's Abdeldjalil Kermali was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. In the 75th minute Karim Brahimi shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Zahid Rezzoug saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Cherif Boumedienne received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 77th minute. Abdeldjalil Kermali tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Abdelmadjid Zakaria sent away a hard shot on goal in the 79th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Abdeldjalil Kermali showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Cherif Boumedienne in the 82nd minute of the match. The long shot by Mehdi Ali in the 84th minute really tested Zahid Rezzoug's skills. The ball was on its way into the goal to the left of him when he managed to stretch himself and save the shot and avoid a goal. Abdeldjalil Kermali took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Abdelmadjid Zakaria, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Abdelmadjid Zakaria received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 91st minute. Abdeldjalil Kermali tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. After a rather tough play, Atherstone's Abdelmadjid Amara got a free kick in the 92nd minute. When Amar Bachdjerrah came up free with the goalie in the 94th minute, the Birmingham fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Amar Bachdjerrah couldn't finish the play. If Cherif Boumedienne had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 96th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead.
