Both teams looked relatively alert before the second half when the referee blew his whistle to tell Kaci Bachtarzi to make the kick off. Bassim Kherroum took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Kaci Bachtarzi, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Kader Riyah fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 60th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Mounaim Bensaïd having to interfere. If Mahfoud Barbarossa had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 63rd minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. The referee ignored Newton Abbot City's protests and gave Abdallah Metidji a yellow card for diving instead. The supporters of Barnstaple FC booed when Newton Abbot City was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 91 match minutes in a wonderful position. Abdallah Metidji didn't get a good kick on the ball. Kader Riyah recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 98th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. Barnstaple FC's fans were exulted and cheered after their team won in a match that could easily have gone the other way.
