When Boubekeur Metref fell near the penalty area in the 30th minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored Redruth City's protests and gave Boubekeur Metref a yellow card for diving instead. Mahfoud Yataghen who was well placed in front of the goal fired away a dangerous shot that in the 31stth minute tested the skills of Chafik Chebli when he managed to save the team from getting behind. Redruth City's Nouh Khelfellah got a good chance for a goal in the 36th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. The audience thought a goal was coming when Mahfoud Yataghen got free with Chafik Chebli in the 43rd minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. 47 minutes into the game, Rotherham's Mahfoud Yataghen nearly tore a hole in the net with a booming shot. Chafik Chebli made a valiant effort, but he could not reach the ball in time, 2-0.

The players of the away team seemed most concentrated when Bakezda Hanister stepped up to make the kick off in the second half. Hocine Arouani came out of the goal and Bakezda Hanister tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. Nouh Khelfellah sent away a hard shot on goal in the 78th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. In the 80thth minute of the game Mahfoud Yataghen who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but Redruth City's Chafik Chebli was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. 83 minutes into the match, Redruth City's goal looked a bit too open when Mahfoud Yataghen came free, but Chafik Chebli reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. An unexpectedly hard shot by Mahfoud Yataghen in the 86th minute of play forced Redruth City's goalkeeper Chafik Chebli to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Mahfoud Yataghen sent away a hard shot on goal in the 89th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. An unexpectedly hard shot by Massoud Zaghouane in the 91st minute of play forced Redruth City's goalkeeper Chafik Chebli to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. In the 93rd minute Massoud Zaghouane shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Chafik Chebli saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. For all the effort they put into the match, the Redruth City players left disappointed. They had fought hard, but couldn't break down the home team's defense. The match ended in a win for Rotherham.
