The crowd had been anticipating this game for weeks and the excitement in the stadium was easily visible. Aberkane Touati received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 6th minute. The supporters of Cleator Moor FC booed when Prudhoe was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 11 match minutes in a wonderful position. Othmane Baïri didn't get a good kick on the ball. Aberkane Touati might have been able to make a better finish in the 13th minute when he tried to place a hard shot over Amawal Zakaria. Instead the ball went over the crossbar and out. Aberkane Touati ran back to his position shaking his head. Aberkane Touati recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 15th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. In a very dangerous position, a player in Cleator Moor FC fell when an opponent tried to get the ball from him in the 17th minute. Penalty! Akim Cavalli shot the penalty kick by force right in the crossbar. No goal. In the 22nd minute, Prudhoe's Aberkane Touati ran free of his marker and smoothly shot the ball into the goal behind Amawal Zakaria. Amawal Zakaria yelled at his defense, as they had left him out to dry. 1-0. In the 25th match minute, Prudhoe was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Boubaker Kacha to maneuver through the defense. In the 28th minute the ball was on its way in behind Prudhoe's goalkeeper Ahmed Morceli, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. After 30 played minutes Cleator Moor FC got a freekick which was hit by Nordine Kermali. 31 minutes into the match, Prudhoe's Akim Cavalli broke free and took a long shot that unfortunately flew wide. A fine initiative that could have resulted in a goal. In the 36th minute, Prudhoe's Aberkane Touati dribbled the ball into the box and hit a shot with the outside of his foot, sending the keeper the wrong way. 2-0. Maamar Ouadah fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 40th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Ahmed Morceli having to interfere. Fahim Saboundji received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 45th minute. Ahmed Morceli tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. After 48 minutes, Fahim Saboundji made it 2-1 with a short kick to the right side. Prudhoe's Ahmed Morceli tried to save the shot but he was too slow in reacting to the shot. When the referee blew for the end of the half the home team players were clearly happier, as they went in to the break leading 2-1.

Both teams looked relatively alert before the second half when the referee blew his whistle to tell Fahim Saboundji to make the kick off. Ahmed Morceli showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Amattaken Moumen, who was totally free with the ball in the 54th minute. Aberkane Touati received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 58th minute. Amawal Zakaria tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Akim Cavalli took a chance and fired a shot far from the goal in the 60th minute, but it turned out to be a dangerous situation for Amawal Zakaria. Cleator Moor FC's goalkeeper really had to stretch himself to stop the ball from crossing the goal line. After 63 played minutes Cleator Moor FC got a freekick which was hit by Nordine Kermali. Prudhoe's Akim Cavalli couldn't find anyone to pass the ball to, so he shot a long shot towards the goal in the 66th minute. The shot went wide which resulted in a goal kick for Cleator Moor FC. Amawal Zakaria showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Aberkane Touati, who was totally free with the ball in the 71st minute. Amawal Zakaria showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Adid Sabati in the 76th minute of the match. Adid Sabati received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 84th minute. Amawal Zakaria tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. The crowd rose to their feet and cheered when the referee blew the final whistle. Prudhoe had won after a very even match.
