Spectators: 6731 (Terracing: 5000, Seating: 1731, VIP seats: 0) Yacoub Sellami made the kick off and thus started the match. After some careless play in the Holmer Green defense, Medjadi Bellil kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Khaled Mezghich. The Holmer Green fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Khaled Mezghich should have stopped the shot. Khaled Mezghich made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Medjadi Bellil in the 10th minute of play. Holmer Green's Khaled Mezghich played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Medjadi Bellil in the 13th minute of play. Badda Ayad was out of position in the 15 minute of play, and Yacoub Sellami capitalized on the mistake with a soft shot into the goal. Yacoub Sellami really showed his touch with that goal: 1-1. An unexpectedly hard shot by Yacoub Sellami in the 19th minute of play forced Sheerness AFC's goalkeeper Badda Ayad to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Badda Ayad took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Yacoub Sellami, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Yacoub Sellami fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 22nd minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Badda Ayad having to interfere. Abdellah Sadi's shot straight on target was not completely harmless. The ball had pretty good speed, but Badda Ayad firmly grabbed it by the left post. After a rather tough play, Holmer Green's Ikhlas Tellidji got a free kick in the 29th minute. Medjadi Bellil received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 30th minute. Khaled Mezghich tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Rachid Ziani took the ball and in the 32 minute, shot a rapid shot to the right of a surprised Khaled Mezghich. Khaled Mezghich dived to the right, and did manage to get a hand on the shot, but it still went into the right corner making it 1-2. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Yacoub Sellami in the 36th managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Badda Ayad saved Sheerness AFC from getting behind. After a defensive mix-up in Holmer Green's zone, Rachid Ziani stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Khaled Mezghich came out of the goal and Rachid Ziani tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. In the 40th minute, Medjadi Bellil made a precise shot to the right of Khaled Mezghich. Holmer Green's defense was at fault, and the scoreboard reflected the new score, 1-3. Yacoub Sellami received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 46th minute. Badda Ayad tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere.

Rachid Ziani struck a weak shot in the 54th minute. Khaled Mezghich didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Sheerness AFC. Yahia Bencheikh kicked well hit freekick during the 61st minute of the match. Badda Ayad took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Abdellah Sadi, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Medjadi Bellil sent away a hard shot on goal in the 68th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. After some fancy dribbling in the 72nd minute, Abdellah Sadi managed to get in a good position for a shot. Holmer Green's supporters rose to their feet, but Abdellah Sadi was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Badda Ayad breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. After 73 played minutes Sheerness AFC got a freekick which was hit by Houari Zerguelaine. Badda Ayad came out of the goal in the 74th minute to try and stop a shot by Holmer Green's Abdellah Sadi. But to his dismay, Abdellah Sadi quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 2-3. In the 90th minute Yacoub Sellami shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Badda Ayad saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. 92 minutes into the match, Holmer Green's goalkeeper Khaled Mezghich had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Medjadi Bellil. Medjadi Bellil received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 96th minute. Khaled Mezghich tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. The referee blew the final whistle, and the away crowd roared, having watched Sheerness AFC eke out a victory against a very well matched opponent.
