An unexpectedly hard shot by Belgacem Sifi in the 5th minute of play forced Swinton FC's goalkeeper Amzun Ouadah to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Nassim Boutella sent away a hard shot on goal in the 10th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Walid Bouteflika showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Bouziane Dhahhak, who was totally free with the ball in the 12th minute. 12 minutes into the game, Kacem Merniz was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. Chelmsford United's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave Swinton FC the free kick. After a rather tough play, Chelmsford United's Kacem Merniz got a free kick in the 13th minute. Belgacem Sifi kicked well hit freekick during the 15th minute of the match. Nawfel Besseghir fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 16th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Walid Bouteflika having to interfere. After a rather tough play, Swinton FC's Araslane Ibrir got a free kick in the 22nd minute. Nawfel Besseghir struck a weak shot in the 26th minute. Walid Bouteflika didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Swinton FC. In the 27th minute the ball was on its way in behind Chelmsford United's goalkeeper Walid Bouteflika, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. Swinton FC's Nawfel Besseghir got a good chance for a goal in the 35th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. Belgacem Sifi recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 38th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. In the 38th minute Belgacem Sifi shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Amzun Ouadah saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. 40 minutes into the match, Belgacem Sifi had an open shot that he just couldn't miss and scored to the right of Amzun Ouadah. Swinton FC's manager could be seen yelling to the referee that Belgacem Sifi was offside, but the referee ignored the protest. 0-1. In the 45th minute Nassim Boutella shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Amzun Ouadah saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Even after changing tactics the home team jogged off the field with a 0-1 deficit. They would have to work harder if they wanted to turn things around in the second half.

After some fancy dribbling in the 53rd minute, Bouziane Dhahhak managed to get in a good position for a shot. Swinton FC's supporters rose to their feet, but Bouziane Dhahhak was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Walid Bouteflika breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. The supporters of Swinton FC booed when Chelmsford United was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 58 match minutes in a wonderful position. Khaled Bencheikh didn't get a good kick on the ball. Belgacem Sifi recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 67th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. After having played for 69 minutes, Nassim Boutella managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Chelmsford United's supporters crossed their fingers, but Nassim Boutella was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. When Yanis Deghmani fell near the penalty area in the 75th minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored Swinton FC's protests and gave Yanis Deghmani a yellow card for diving instead. After a rather tough play, Swinton FC's Yanis Deghmani got a free kick in the 75th minute. In the 79th match minute, Swinton FC was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Moussa Adjani to maneuver through the defense. 81 minutes into the match, Swinton FC's goal looked a bit too open when Belgacem Sifi came free, but Amzun Ouadah reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Swinton FC's Omar Khadra pulled a muscle in his leg after 85 minutes and couldn't finish the game. Moncef Ben Bella's late challenge caught a Swinton FC's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. After a defensive mix-up in Chelmsford United's zone, Nawfel Besseghir stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Walid Bouteflika came out of the goal and Nawfel Besseghir tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. Nawfel Besseghir scored 1-1 in the 91st match minute with a shot that went into the goal to the right of Walid Bouteflika, who was just a little too slow in reacting to the shot. Wellen Boniche hit a great freekick 95 minutes into the match. Nawfel Besseghir fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 97th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Walid Bouteflika having to interfere. The teams fought very hard right up to the final whistle. Both sets of players were happy to go away with a draw.
