Daoud Ziani showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Azzedine Saïfi, who was totally free with the ball in the 8th minute. Aydril Khelfellah received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 12th minute. Daoud Ziani tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Azzedine Saïfi fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 28th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Daoud Ziani having to interfere. After having played for 31 minutes, Ziad Rodesli managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Walcote City's supporters crossed their fingers, but Ziad Rodesli was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. Faouzi Nabil made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Djamel Benali in the 32nd minute of play. Ziad Rodesli received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 34th minute. Faouzi Nabil tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. In the 38th match minute, Walcote City was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Belaid Nekkar to maneuver through the defense. Dida Ferrah, 40 minutes into the match, dribbled the ball up the side of the field and decided to take a long shot at the goal. Unfortunately, the ball was poorly hit and landed closer to the corner than to the goal. After a defensive mix-up in Balsall Common's zone, Ziad Rodesli stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Faouzi Nabil came out of the goal and Ziad Rodesli tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. Faouzi Nabil took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Djamel Benali, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. All the noise was coming from the home fans when the whistle went for half-time. The home team had fought hardest to put themselves in a deserved lead.

In the 53rd match minute, Walcote City was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Wahid Banou Attyya to maneuver through the defense. Daoud Ziani made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Dida Ferrah in the 54th minute of play. After 63 played minutes Balsall Common got a freekick which was hit by Azzedine Saïfi. Aydril Khelfellah fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 66th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Daoud Ziani having to interfere. Ziad Rodesli could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 70th minute of the match, but Faouzi Nabil made a huge save. Djamel Benali blasted a shot towards the goal in the 75th minute, but the shot hit the top of the crossbar and went out without Faouzi Nabil having to make a save. Djamel Benali sent away a hard shot on goal in the 84th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Faouzi Nabil took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Djamel Benali, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. If Ziad Rodesli had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 90th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead.
