Amar Oulhaci didn't have a chance when a screaming shot from Cheikh Abid went, in the 6th minute, to the upper right corner, 0-1 was the resulting score. Amar Oulhaci took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Cheikh Abid, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Toufik Sahraoui struck a weak shot in the 16th minute. Benamar Mohamed didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Yoxford United. In the 19th minute, Yoxford United's Toufik Sahraoui ran free of his marker and smoothly shot the ball into the goal behind Benamar Mohamed. Benamar Mohamed yelled at his defense, as they had left him out to dry. 1-1. Belkacem Saadane's late challenge caught a Sawtry City's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Belkacem Saadane helped the player get up and apologised. The supporters of Sawtry City booed when Yoxford United was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 21 match minutes in a wonderful position. Belkacem Saadane didn't get a good kick on the ball. Khelifa Ioualalen received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 24th minute. Benamar Mohamed tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Toufik Sahraoui fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 27th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Benamar Mohamed having to interfere. When Khelifa Ioualalen came up free with the goalie in the 35th minute, the Yoxford United fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Khelifa Ioualalen couldn't finish the play. Amar Oulhaci made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Mehdi Hamdaoui in the 39th minute of play. With his leg Benamar Mohamed managed to avoid a goal in the 48thth minute, when Yoxford United's Khelifa Ioualalen fired away a shot with a lot of spin towards his right hand side.

Both teams looked relatively alert before the second half when the referee blew his whistle to tell Cheikh Abid to make the kick off. In the 53rd minute Toufik Sahraoui shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Benamar Mohamed saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. After 54 minutes, Hamid Kader mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the Sawtry City and the Yoxford United players grew even worse after the yellow card. A collision led to Sawtry City getting a freekick after 54 minutes play. Hamid Kader hit a great ball. If Khelifa Ioualalen had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 55th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. An unexpectedly hard shot by Cheikh Abid in the 61st minute of play forced Yoxford United's goalkeeper Amar Oulhaci to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Omar Bouzina hit a great freekick 62 minutes into the match. After having played for 69 minutes, Mehdi Hamdaoui managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Sawtry City's supporters crossed their fingers, but Mehdi Hamdaoui was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. After a rather tough play, Sawtry City's Rayan Fnardji got a free kick in the 80th minute. Cheikh Abid fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 85th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Amar Oulhaci having to interfere. Amar Oulhaci made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Cheikh Abid in the 88th minute of play. Abdelhakim Yahlali kicked well hit freekick during the 89th minute of the match. After recieving a nice pass, Yoxford United's Marouane Mihoubi tried to score from far away in the 93rd minute, but the ball went over the crossbar. In the 95th minute, Khelifa Ioualalen ran past the defenders and hit a shot which went straight ahead into goal. Benamar Mohamed was frozen by the shot and now it was 2-1. The referee blew his whistle, and the match came to a close. The players exchanged shirts and headed down the tunnel. The Yoxford United fans cheered their team off the field, for while Sawtry City had put up a good fight, they were unable to come out of the game with any points to show for their effort.
