The supporters of Snailbeach and Stiperstones booed when Grasmere AFC was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 20 match minutes in a wonderful position. Nasserredine Embarek's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Azregh Meskouri read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 36th minute of play. The wind increased when Nasserredine Embarek made the kick off in the second half. An unexpectedly hard shot by Abdel Karim Menad in the 53rd minute of play forced Grasmere AFC's goalkeeper Badr El Kounya to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. After having played for 55 minutes, Abdel Karim Menad managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Snailbeach and Stiperstones's supporters crossed their fingers, but Abdel Karim Menad was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Abdelhakim Zaaboub couldn't finish the play. The final whistle blew with the score still tied, and both teams left the pitch thinking about the missed chances that could have given their team the win.
