Abderaouf Larbes scored 0-1 in the 18th match minute with a shot that went into the goal to the right of Nabil Lelouch, who was just a little too slow in reacting to the shot. Nabil Lelouch showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Abderaouf Larbes in the 27th minute of the match. If Abderaouf Larbes had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 33rd minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. An unexpectedly hard shot by Mehdi Meknassa in the 35th minute of play forced Haywards Heath AFC's goalkeeper Ibrahim Khendu to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. An unexpectedly hard shot by Mohan Zeghdoud in the 39th minute of play forced Staithes's goalkeeper Nabil Lelouch to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Mehdi Meknassa blasted a shot towards the goal in the 42nd minute, but the shot hit the top of the crossbar and went out without Ibrahim Khendu having to make a save. If Fahim Baltadji had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 45th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. After some fancy dribbling in the 46th minute, Mehdi Meknassa managed to get in a good position for a shot. Staithes's supporters rose to their feet, but Mehdi Meknassa was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Ibrahim Khendu breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick.

The wind increased when Mehdi Meknassa made the kick off in the second half. Nabil Lelouch made an important save on a dangerous shot by Mohan Zeghdoud in the 55th minute. Fahim Baltadji recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 60th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. After 64 played minutes Haywards Heath AFC got a freekick which was hit by Abdelkader Merbah. Fahim Baltadji fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 66th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Ibrahim Khendu having to interfere. Fahim Baltadji sent away a hard shot on goal in the 67th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. An unexpectedly hard shot by Abderaouf Larbes in the 74th minute of play forced Staithes's goalkeeper Nabil Lelouch to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. After having played for 76 minutes, Abderaouf Larbes managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Haywards Heath AFC's supporters crossed their fingers, but Abderaouf Larbes was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Abderaouf Larbes in the 77th minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Nabil Lelouch prevented the ball from getting in the gole. Ibrahim Khendu came out of the goal in the 82nd minute to try and stop a shot by Staithes's Mehdi Meknassa. But to his dismay, Mehdi Meknassa quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 1-1. Fahim Baltadji sent away a hard shot on goal in the 86th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. After 92 played minutes, Staithes's Ilias Zaghrani shot from a long distance, and at first it looked like the ball was going into the goal, but the goalkeeper Ibrahim Khendu came through and got his fingers on the ball before it flew over the goal line. He then quickly gripped the ball tighter before the forwards in Staithes reached it. The teams fought very hard right up to the final whistle. Both sets of players were happy to go away with a draw.
