Hocine Madani's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Mohan Saïb read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 13th minute of play. 21 minutes into the match, Formby's goalkeeper Mohan Saïb had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Ghiles Ahmed. If Hocine Madani had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 24th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Hocine Madani sent away a hard shot on goal in the 34th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Afennich Madjer received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 40th minute. Boumedienne Korteby tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Hocine Madani did some fancy footwork in front of goal and succeeded to deceive the defenders so he could slam the ball in 2-0 to the left of a surprised Mohan Saïb 45 minutes into the match. Af the end of the first half the score was 2-0. The first half had gone as expected for the home team.

Afennich Madjer was really disappointed when he shot the ball just outside the right post instead of scoring a goal in the 52nd minute. Formby's manager could be seen on the sidelines shaking his head and muttering to himself as his team had just wasted another chance. If Hilal Fillali had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 61st minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. In the 67th minute, Abdelaziz Larfaoui hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. In the 70thth minute of the game Ghiles Ahmed who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but Formby's Mohan Saïb was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. Formby's Mohan Saïb played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Hocine Madani in the 72nd minute of play. When Ghiles Ahmed came up free with the goalie in the 79th minute, the Paull FC fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Ghiles Ahmed couldn't finish the play. After 82 minutes of play, Formby's Abdel Hamid Lacen made it 2-1 when he simply outclassed the defender marking him and hit a curling shot into the right side of the net. Boumedienne Korteby was left in no man's land by his defense there! In the 87th minute Ghiles Ahmed shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Mohan Saïb saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. If Abdel Hamid Lacen had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 88th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Boumedienne Korteby showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Afennich Madjer, who was totally free with the ball in the 94th minute. The Formby players were the happier at the end of the match as they had prevented Paull FC from taking control. The game ends in a draw.
