But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Djillali Kourichi couldn't finish the play. Adid Meriem recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 8th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. Aziz Aribi showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Adid Meriem in the 13th minute of the match. Aziz Aribi made a fantastic save in the 17th minute, when Karim Arouani sent off a good shot on target. Aziz Aribi was a little too slow when Adid Meriem got a fine hit on the ball which went right into the goal in the 20th minute. The score was now 1-0. If Redouane Morceli had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 29th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Redouane Morceli fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 33rd minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Lounes Kosbi having to interfere. After a rather tough play, Minehead AFC's Khalida Tannoudji got a free kick in the 35th minute. Hassan Ayad's late challenge caught a Dereham's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Hassan Ayad helped the player get up and apologised. In the 40th match minute, Minehead AFC was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Hassan Ayad to maneuver through the defense. When Rayan Yataghen fell near the penalty area in the 44th minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored Minehead AFC's protests and gave Rayan Yataghen a yellow card for diving instead. In the 44th minute, Rayan Yataghen hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Minehead AFC's Aziz Aribi played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Adid Meriem in the 45th minute of play. The away team players looked dejected as the walked off the pitch at half time. They had fought hard, but were still losing 1-0.

Both teams looked relatively alert before the second half when the referee blew his whistle to tell Adid Meriem to make the kick off. Lounes Kosbi made an important save on a dangerous shot by Djillali Kourichi in the 59th minute. 63 minutes into the game, one of Minehead AFC:s players got tackled near the goal, and the referee blew for a penalty. In the 64th minute there was a penalty for Dereham. Nadir Djenia stepped forward and shot the ball to the right of a diving Aziz Aribi. 2-0.
